Michelle Duggar Makeover, As part of her 46th birthday celebration, as seen on the season 10 finale of her and her family's TLC reality show "19 Kids and Counting" on Tuesday.
Aubrey Smith, a hairstylist at Freshair Salon in Fayetteville, Arkansas, cut almost eight inches off Duggar's hair - the most drastic chop she's ever had - and her curly locks, including her bangs, were blow-dried straight, although they became wavy when she stepped outside. Her best friend Cindy also surprised her there and helped with what she said was Michelle's first makeover in 39 years.
"Tell Jim Bob we took an inch off for each child," she joked, referring to Michelle's husband and father of their 19 children.
Duggar smiled, wide-eyed, while looking at her reflection. When asked if she loves it, she said: "I'll learn to love it."
She returned home for a birthday party and her husband and children reacted with surprise.
"You look cute, honey," Jim Bob said, giving her a kiss.
Michelle, who celebrated her actual birthday in September, has since gone back to her former style. She said in another interview shown during the episode: "I thought, 'You guys really like it like this?' It was like, 'This is what I look like when I get out of the shower and I blow-dry my hair straight.'"
The Duggar family's series premiered in 2008. Michelle and Jim Bob are parents to adult children Joshua, twins Jana and John-David, Jill, Jessa and Jinger, as well as Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah Duggar, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie, the youngest, who was born in December 2009.
