Jill Kelley Bubba Love Sponge, The Petraeus sex scandal finally has that one element it's been missing to push it over the edge from "sleazy" to downright "trashy".
Ladies andgentlemen,...Bubba the Love Sponge. The Tampa based radio host and long time Howard Stern Show bro was named in a newly released series of emails between General David Petraeus' scandal figure Jill Kelley and Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn. Kelley and Buckhorn exchanged emails about Bubba the Love Sponge in March 2012 after BTLS threatened to deep fat fry a Koran on air.
According to the emails, both Petraeus and General John Allen contacted Mayor Buckhorn directly asking him to intervene and stop the stunt for fear that U.S. troops could be endangered. Buckhorn turned to Kelley, a "Tampa socialite" who has experience smoothing over sticky situations, for help.
"This Bubba the Love Sponge is a complete moron," Buckhorn wrote Kelley, later added:
"I'm considering having my 1st amendment lawyer filing a suit against Bubba and the Producers...Do you think Bubba will listen to you-without me moving forward with this legal action?"
Kelley wrote Buckhorn:
"Yes, they [Petraeus and Allen] asked me to get involved, like I did with the Pastor last year."
The "Pastor" was Terry Jones, the man who threatened to burn 200 Korans on video to show his disdain for the Muslim religion. Jones never did burn his Korans, and Bubba the Love Sponge never did deep fry one, but it's unclear how Kelley was instrumental in stopping the stunt.
In any case, Bubba appears totally comfortable with his role in this sex scandal--unlike his last sex scandal, which featured him on the butt-end of a $100 million lawsuit from his ex-best friend Hulk Hogan
