Def Leppard divorce

Def Leppard divorce, Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has filed for divorce from his wife of 25 years.

The rocker cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for his split from longtime partner Julie in documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, TMZ reports. The estranged couple share two young daughters, ages 13 and 11.

The Irish musician is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their children, according to documents obtained by the website.

He is also asking the judge to deny spousal support to his wife.The couple married in February 1987.

Campbell joined Def Leppard in 1992 following the death of guitarist Steve Clark.
Prior to his work with Def Leppard, Campbell, 50, was acclaimed for his work with heavy metal band Dio, and was part of the group's original line-up in 1982.

He has also played for Whitesnake after John Sykes left the band in 1987.
Campbell has also been a member of Thin Lizzy, Sweet Savage, Shadow King and River Dogs.
A spokesman for Campbell had not yet issued comment on reports of the filings at press time
