Modern Family Clips, Modern Family is a mockumentary comedy series created by ABC that follows three distinct types of a modern family as a Dutch documentary crew tapes them for an upcoming reality-based television series.
The families are that of Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill), his daughter Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen), and his son Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson). Jay is a tough and caustic patriarch who is trying to be more sensitive as he deals with the culture clash between himself and his much younger Colombian wife, Gloria (Sofia Vergara).
He is also trying to make up for the mistakes he made with his own son with Gloria's twelve-year-old son, Manny. Claire is a stay-at-home mom often exasperated by the antics of her juvenile but doting husband, Phil, and their three kids, ditzy and naïve Haley, intelligent and manipulative Alex, and rambunctious and typically clueless Luke.
Mitchell is a straitlaced worrier of a lawyer trying to manage the loud and dramatic personality of his partner of five years, Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) as they raise their recently adopted Vietnamese baby girl, Lily.
