Day 54 NHL Lockout, The NHL and NHLPA continue to talk in the hope of ending the 54-day lockout. Still, a new collective bargaining agreement doesn't appear to be coming any time soon.
So until the NHL returns, we will continue to highlight one fan's take on the lockout each day from the posts we've received on Facebook, Twitter and the comments sections on CBCSports.ca.
Here is Thursday's fan comment by CBC commenter KitO'C on wanting to send a financial message to the NHL and the players:
I wish all Canadian hockey fans would get together and boycott the first three games of the season. Imagine what kind of message that would send. Canadian teams' first three games played in front of empty seats. For the fourth game we'll go back to the game we love, but we could send a message to the NHL: stop treating us like Pavlov's dog. They do whatever they want knowing that all they need to do is ring the bell and we'll come-a-running. Let's make em' wait for us for a change.
