Barbara Walters Disappoint

Barbara Walters Disappoint, Barbara Walters has revealed her ten Most Fascinating People of 2011 to the masses on Wednesday night. The ABC special report was to be about people making an influence in life and making a difference.

While there are questions about people being on the list as the Kardashians, Donald Trump and Simon Cowell could be controversial, the biggest question people are asking is why wasn’t Gabby Giffords highlighted?

The congresswoman who was shot in the head January 8, 2011, has made a miraculous recovery. With immediate surgery and months of rehabilitation, the woman fought the odds and once again is in front of the cameras smiling. What makes this woman survive and the inspiration she provides is genuinely fascinating. Compare it to the celebrities on the list Barbara Walters shared on Wednesday night and it isn’t even close.

Fans watching the show have been vocal all evening about the lack of Gabby Giffords on the Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011. Her name is repeated over and over again on Twitter, Facebook and even postings on articles about the Top 10 people.

“J. Martinez, the war hero who won the Dancing With the Stars and Gabby Giffords would have been much more interesting people for 2011,” wrote one audience member.

“The Kardashian White Trash Klan was on but Gabrielle Giffords was not?? Oh Barbara you disappoint me so,” wrote another fan who was upset.

The fans of the Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011 definitely would like to know why Gabby Giffords, who is so overly deserving of the title, was passed over as it seems that it would be an obvious choice.
