Wal-Mart Blames Price Errors on Technical Glitch

Wal-Mart Blames Price Errors on Technical Glitch
Wal-Mart Blames Price Errors on Technical Glitch, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. says that a technical error caused a number of products from computer monitors to treadmills to be priced absurdly low or high on its website earlier Wednesday morning.

The company, based in Bentonville, Ark., says it is working to resolve the issue and that the site may have intermittent problems with availability until then.

Earlier Wednesday, shoppers took to Twitter to cite absurdly low deals like treadmills for $33.16 and LCD monitors for $9. A company spokesman declined to comment on whether it would honor those bargains and said it was still working through the details.

Heading into the crucial holiday shopping season, Wal-Mart has doubled the number of items it has on its website from last year to 5 million.
