Gwyneth paltrow mario batali, Gwyneth Paltrow is in the best shape of her life at 41, thanks to a healthy diet and grueling daily workouts. Paltrow, who was recently named the Most Beautiful Woman in the world by People magazine, even amazes her celebrity friends with her dedication.

"She's relentless," celebrity chef Mario Batali told Life & Style Sept. 26. "It's two hours a day of exercise."

Batali, 53, has been friends with Paltrow since the 1990s, and the two share a love of good food and cooking. Batali says Gwyneth and her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, are both health and exercise fanatics, which he says is necessary in their line of work.

"They're serious exercise addicts," observed Batali. "They both know what they need to eat, and not to just go by some fad diet. They need to eat because the machinery needs it. They're both performers.”

Paltrow has made no secret of her dedication to intense workouts, admitting her rigorous exercise regimen has reduced her to tears. Like most people, the mom of two sometimes does not feel like hitting the gym, but has made exercise a part of her daily routine, just like brushing her teeth.

Gwyneth's longtime trainer is fitness guru Tracy Anderson, who also works with Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie and Ashley Greene.

The willowy 5-foot-9 blonde beauty is an accomplished cook who enjoys preparing low-carb, gluten-free meals for her husband and two children. Earlier this year, Paltrow was slammed after revealing she won't feed her family gluten, pasta, bread, rice, dairy or chicken eggs.

She later backpedaled following accusations that she was depriving her children, but noted that every nutritionist, doctor and health-conscious person she knew extolled the health benefits of going gluten-free.

Meanwhile, Batali says Gwyneth is so skilled in the kitchen that she once cooked paella for him in a bikini without getting a single food stain on her.

"Last summer we were at her house in East Hampton, and she made paella in a bikini and didn't get one speck of oil [on her] or get any little burns because she's a patient chef," he said.
