Sarah Silverman has an awkward visit with her ex Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel dated for several years in the early '00s, but broke up in 2009. Apparently the feelings aren't so bad, since Kimmel had her on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Thursday to promote her upcoming comedy HBO special, "Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles."
As with any long-term relationship, there was still some unfinished business to attend to, so Silverman came out with a bankers box of "Jimmy's Stuff," including socks, a toothbrush, "fat" jeans and a collage of Jimmy's face cut out of all their photos they took together as a couple.
Silverman seemed comfortable back on the show where she spent so much time a few years ago. It's like I never left! Only you're married," she told Kimmel.
"You heard about that, huh?" Kimmel said. He married Molly McNearney, a writer for his show, earlier this summer.
But the real bombshell came when a small boy came running out from backstage, asking Silverman, "Mommy, am I going to meet daddy tonight?"
"No, your daddy's dead! Go backstage," Silverman barked.
An unknown child from Kimmel and Silverman's relationship? Hardly. Just another gag.
"Is this uncomfortable for you right now?" Kimmel asked.
"It's like weird, but it's good weird," Silverman said. "This is human nature. This is the way life is. People break up and exes are gonna bump into each other. They're gonna cross paths. They're gonna be on each other's talk shows. It's the cycle of life."
