Robert De Niro age, In the not so distant future, The Hangover franchise sequel #14 might eventually look like Last Vegas: A rat pack walk into a bar. That’s it, really. I’d make a Cocoon joke, but that would be as predictable as the Viagra quips Last Vegas provides, on cue. Besides, Billy, Paddy, Archie and Sam (Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline) are and play Grumpy Old Men — cranky old friends, a little weary but secretly affectionate, having a good time and not working too hard.
Just shy of 70, lifelong bachelor Billy (Douglas, with hints of the fey lilt and deep tan left over from the Liberace shoot, both of which earn his character the nickname “Hazelnut”) is getting married and wants a last hurrah (hopefully, not literally) bachelor party in Las Vegas. For this boondoggle — and possibly a historic first, of side-by-side product placement of Bombay Sapphire and Medic-Alert — he rounds up his childhood crew from the old neighborhood. Obstacle: he and best friend Paddy (De Niro, an irascible widower in mom jeans who’s a long way from Casino), are estranged.
But Noble Stag is the name on the bottle of scotch the boys stole from the corner deli back in the day and Billy secretly kept it as a memento, just so you have an idea of where this particular stag is going. Party like it’s 1959!
