World Smile Day 2012, In Smiley's hometown of Worcester, MA, the epicenter for World Smile Day® 2012, we will once again recognize Harvey Ball, Smiley, and World Smile Day® by doing acts of kindness and celebrating the day in a big way.
On Friday, October 5th, 2012 we will celebrate World Smile Day® with an event to be held on Worcester City Hall Plaza and the adjoining Worcester Common.
This event will begin at 11:00am and conclude by 1:00pm. We are honored to have the Shepard Hill Regional High School Marching Band open the ceremony with a performance followed by The Worcester Seven Hills Charter School Chorus singing several Smiley, WSD, and Worcester related songs. Charles Ball, Managing Director of the Harvey Ball World Smile Foundation and son of Smiley's creator Harvey Ball, will delivery a short keynote message about World Smile Day®.
We will then be entertained by performers (clowns, jugglers, and the Ring Master) from the Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus when our biggest guests of the day will arrive for lunch - the elephants of Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus.
We will also have several tables of Smiley and World Smile Day® related merchandise that we are giving away FREE to attendees. And while all this is going on our Smile Ambassadors will be out delivering Smile Certificates and people around the world will be emailing Smile eCertificates and celebrating the day with their own local events and activities.
So, come on down to Worcester City Hall Plaza on World Smile Day® 2012 in Worcester, Massachusetts from 11am - 1pm for all the fun and excitement and participate in our fourteenth consecutive year of celebrating the day.
