The Avengers director has become the latest in a long line of stars voicing their support for President Barack Obama and has created a humorous film to blast rival Romney's policies.
Whedon is seen in his kitchen explaining how the Republican candidate's views on healthcare, education and reproductive rights will lead to a "nightmare zombie wasteland".
He also quips power will no longer belong to "the very rich", but "the very fast" and encourages his viewers to start stocking up on canned goods for when the undead take over the planet.
Whedon asks, "Am I ready for the purity and courage of Mitt's vision? Mitt's ready. Romney's not afraid to face a ravening, grasping horde of subhumans, because that's how he sees poor people already."
The video ends with a mocked-up image of Romney as a zombie, complete with the jokey tag line 'Zomney - He Needs Brains'.
