He was airlifted to Hackensack University Hospital and reported to be in critical condition with severe head injures.

A fan fell from an escalator at MetLife Stadium during the Giants vs. the Redskins game, according to an October 21 report from Yahoo. The 42-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The man fell 21 feet from the escalator and landed on a metal stage. He was flown to Hackensack University Hospital where he is in critical condition. Police are not sure what caused the fan to fall over the side of the escalator while the man was leaving the New York Giants vs. the Washington Redskins game. Police are continuing their investigation into just what happened.

If somebody pushed him, there could be a problem. Also, it's possible that he simply fell or perhaps the crowd surged and nobody actually pushed him specifically. However, if the escalator is unsafe, then MetLife Stadium needs to correct the issue.Ultimately, the Giants won the game defeating the Redskins 27-23 on a late score. This is a scary ending to the game. Hopefully this fan will end up recovering from the fall. Have you ever been concerned for your own safety while exciting a stadium after a sporting event? What about on a crowded escalator?
