Celebrity Hair Sold At Auction, When it comes to being a superfan, money is not an option -- at least for some buyers who have coughed up millions of dollars at auctions to own everything from celebrity hair to worn clothing and personal mementos.
This past weekend, a clump of hair believed to have been trimmed from Elvis Presley's head when he joined the Army in 1958 sold for $15,000! So how much have people paid to own Justin Timberlake's leftover french toast or Michael Jackson's jewel-encrusted gloves? Fancy a used tissue, half-eaten French toast or ABC (already been chewed) gum? Well, somebody did.
While some of us are merely guilty of perusing tabloids in the supermarket checkout aisle, others take their celebrity obsessions to a whole new level.
We certainly would never like to be in the same room as the person who bought Britney Spears' used gum for $14,000, a handful of Elvis Presley's hair for $115,000 or Justin Timberlake's half-eaten French toast for north of $3,000.
