Golf Shot Hits Wife, Bode Miller is known for his champion skiing, and most recently for his newlywed status, but as of Thursday, Dec. 13 he's also known for something else. Unfortunately for Bode's wife Morgan, he's also now known as the guy whose golf shot hit his wife in the eye. Sports Grid shared the details and the frightening photo of Morgan's eye injury.
Sports Grid shares that Wednesday Bode Miller and his pro volleyball wife Morgan Miller hit the golf course, but things didn't quite go as planned. Morgan, formerly known as Morgan Beck, posted the picture of her injury to Twitter, and it is not pretty. After Bode's golf shot hit his wife she needed about 50 stitches, and one would bet she's got a whopper of a headache.
Morgan says that she was wearing sunglasses at the time and they may well have kept the damage from being worse. Morgan Miller is back home now and will be wearing an eye patch for a bit. She wasn't feeling terribly great earlier in the day, but she's clearly thankful it wasn't worse and she's even been joking about it a bit on Twitter.
As of early Thursday she actually couldn't see from her left eye, and it seems her face was quite numb. Shockingly Miller posted a photo of her sunglasses that absorbed the bulk of the line drive, and they only had one little break in the frame. One can only imagine how much worse her injury would have been had she not been wearing them.
The experience must have been pretty terrifying for both Bode Miller and his wife Morgan Miller, and fans are relieved to know that she seems to be doing okay. Chances are this is a story they'll be telling for years, as it's not every day that a man's golf shot hits his wife. It's a good sign Morgan seems able to joke about it, though Bode clearly feels awful about the incident by taking a look at his Twitter page.
