Cher new album cover 2013

Cher new album cover 2013, Not to be confused with any other artist who has been awing audiences since the 1960′s, illustrious artist Cher, shared the album artwork for her 26th studio opus this week. Cher’s music career resurfaces here after a production lull of over a decade. Closer to the Truth is scheduled for US release at the end of September.

“Truthfully, I’m not a huge Cher fan and I’ve said this many times, but I think this is the best album I’ve ever done,” the artist commented. She likens the songs on the album to her 1998 multi-platinum Believe album which won the Grammy award for Best Dance Recording, selling 20 million copies.

To her credit, the 67-year-old expressed some nerves about reactions to the new pic…The Twitterverse was largely kind (-of), offering comparisons to Britney Spears (hmm, compliment?), Barbara Streisand (a young one; really Twitterverse?) and a blonde bombshell (better, keep it generic).

Cher is known for her eclectic fashion sense and transformations that might have us thinking she’s a shapeshifter. She donned a newspaper-do for her Woman’s World video release. Her costumer for the majority of her career has been the stylish and sparkling Bob Mackie, who is slated to design her 2014 tour wardrobe. Cher posted some Mackie original designs on her Facebook account, celebrating that Mackie had signed up for the tour, and stating: “Last Time Around…” No more touring, Lovelies?

Earlier this month, Cher’s Twitter account contracted turrets when a duet with Lady Gaga, The Greatest Thing, was leaked online. The singer cursed those who revealed what apparently was the wrong version of the song.
