George Clooney dated Stacy Keibler, Eva Longoria tweeted her response to the rumors: "As interesting as the George Clooney rumors are, they aren't true. George and I have been friends for years. ... Just to clarify once again George Clooney and I have always been friends. He's a true gentleman and these rumors just aren't true." Well, at least the rumors were interesting! Nothing worse than a boring rumor.

Now that George Clooney and Stacy Keibler have officially parted ways, people are coming out of the woodwork with their behind-the-scenes gossip. (Bless their hearts!) Take Eva Longoria — or at least a "source" reportedly speaking with knowledge of her relationship with George.

George, 52, and Eva, 38, have been friends for years, and an insider told Us Weekly that "George began pursuing Eva" after they both happened to be in Berlin for work this past March. George reportedly told the Desperate Housewives alum that he was still with Stacy but planned to break up with her, and he was interested in being with Eva.

He reportedly pursued her with calls and texts, but Eva said she didn't want to be with him until he was completely single. Well, he's now single but Eva is dating Ernesto Arguello of Ready For Love. The George option is out the window, as Eva is very happy with her man.

Interesting story, but do you believe it? It's certainly flattering to be able to say you turned down Clooney, especially when you add the part about not dating a cheater. Props to anyone who stands by that.

George and Eva would make a cute couple, but she's very different from the slightly younger, much less famous women he's been dating in the past few years. George doesn't seem like he wants to get into a Brangelina situation with a fellow famous person, which is what dating Eva might bring. Then again, maybe she's such a good match he'd look past that? If things don't work out with Ernesto, maybe we should keep an eye on George and Eva...
