Bart Starr Collapses

Bart Starr Collapses, Packers NFL legend, Bart Starr collapsed at a convention being held in Madison, Wisconsin Tuesday, NFL.com reports.

The 78-year-old Hall of Fame quarterback was finished giving a motivational speech at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) conference at Monona Terrace when he suddenly fell on stage.

Starr was passed out for a few minutes, but regained consciousness. He sat up and continued to speak coherently while his wife, Cherry, was at his side.

Others who attended the WHEDA event were also gathered around him to make sure he remained stable, MSN reports.

The former Packers quarterback was evaluated and seemed okay enough to be on his way without going to the hospital.

"The good news is that after Bart Starr fainted, he was sitting up a few minutes later and talking coherently," WHEDA spokesman, Kevin Fisher, said.

Not long after the conference, it was almost as if Starr's collapse never happened. He and his wife left the event in a private limo on their way to the Dane County Regional Airport.
