Decision on Dashon Goldson appeal expected Wednesday
Decision on Dashon Goldson appeal expected Wednesday, New Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson was suspended for a game after his head-hunting ways crossed the line for the second week in a row.

Goldson, as is his prerogative, appealed the suspension. And according to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, the NFL will announce its decision on Goldson's appeal come Wednesday.

Here's my best guess: Goldson's going to lose that appeal. (Again, my best guess.) He's coming off back-to-back weeks where he laid the wood illegally on someone's head.

The NFL doesn't like to lose suspension appeals because it gives aggressive defenders more leeway in their play on the field.

Goldson could win, of course. The NFL isn't infallible. But there's a pretty good chance we'll find out Wednesday that he won't be playing on Sunday.
