Friends Star Lisa Kudrow Joins Cast Of Drama Series Scandal, Lisa Kudrow has joined the new season of drama series Scandal. Most famous for playing Phoebe Buffay in Friends, Lisa will appear in the third season of the ABC show as a powerful politician rumoured to be named Shelley Meyers, according to Deadline.

This would mark Lisa's first proper TV acting commitment since HBO comedy The Comeback in 2005. Since then, she has been more focused on producing and also starring in the online show Web Therapy.

Scandal season three premieres Thursday, October 3 on ABC in the US. It airs on More4 in the UK.Meanwhile, ever since Friends came to an end nearly 10 years ago, fans have been calling for a reunion episode. However, year after year, members of the cast have dismissed the idea and speculation of getting back together.

Last year hopes were raised when a poster appeared to show that a reunion with Jennifer Aniston and co. was happening. But as the image made it's way around the world, causing hysteria with it, it was soon revealed to be a hoax.

But it appears, we weren't the only ones to believe in it as Lisa Kudrow has admitted that she too was taken in by the hoax.

Appearing on The Conan Show, the actress who played the role of Phoebe Buffay confessed: "Okay, first of all. The graphic for this one thing was unbelievable. It looked really real. And then they were posting this article and the headline was like, 'NBC Confirms 5 out of 6 of the Friends Are In,' and I went, 'Oh my God. They didn't ask me.'"
