Tom Brokaw hospitalized in Charlotte after feeling light-headed , Tom Brokaw was hospitalized in Charlotte after feeling light-headed. The news anchor made an appearance on "Morning Joe" on September 6 and was rushed to the hospital after starting to feel like something was not right. While this was a very scary situation for him—he could have been having a stroke or some other serious problem—Brokaw, 72, learned that his strange feelings were due to a medication mix-up according to the New York Daily News.

"All is well. Early AM I mistakenly took a half dose of Ambien and made less sense than usual. Made a better comeback than Giants..." Brokaw tweeted, clearing up any questions people had about his well-being and current state.

Although Tom Brokaw was hospitalized in Charlotte, this situation was not nearly as serious as it could have been. People have mixed up medications plenty of times, and Ambien—a sleeping aide—will obviously make you drowsy. It also can have other side effects that would make someone feel light-headed or "not themselves."

Brokaw is a news staple and he has gained thousands of fans over the years. News of his hospitalization was definitely alarming, but everyone is glad to hear that things checked out okay. Not only that, but Brokaw's sense of humor is still in tact too.

Tom Brokaw's hospitalization in Charlotte was brief and he will not incur any down time following his pill-mix-up.
