Lisa Marie Presley twins

lisa marie presley, Followed since birth as the child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie is no stranger to the spotlight. Her highly publicized relationships with Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage, as well as her battles with drugs, may have overshadowed her modeling career and business sense. But now she is hoping to turn heads thanks to her debut rock/pop album, To Whom It May Concern. There are times when Lisa Marie is a complete knockout. Unabashedly posing for several magazines, we often forget the other side to this woman -- the one who ballooned in size after she went into rehab. But weight problems are in the past now, so we can fully appreciate her flat stomach and overall seductive look.

Lisa Marie Presley's contributions to the entertainment world have not been hard to substantiate before her singing career began. As a child, she met the top celebrities of the era and lived a life of luxury at Graceland. When she came of age, Lisa Marie emerged as an outspoken activist against several issues, including homelessness and literacy. In fact, the World Literacy Crusade awarded her with their Humanitarian Award in 2002 for her efforts. She has even spoken in front of Congress concerning medicating mentally challenged children.

As a model, Presley has done campaigns for her late friend Gianni Versace, Gap, Cartier, and Vogue magazine. She has always been a favorite for photographers and has been featured in many coffee-table books.

Of course, it is her ability to grab headlines that has been her most acclaimed talent. Her teenage drug addiction and subsequent rehabilitation courtesy of Scientology (the religion that John Travolta, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman are also members of) was highly publicized. Then, less than a month after divorcing husband Danny Keough, Presley married Michael Jackson in 1994. The nuptials, if you didn't already know, did not last long at all. Her third marriage, this time to Nicolas Cage, was also brief and was equally examined under the proverbial microscope.

Presley hopes to put all that tabloid talk aside now that she has finally answered the call of music. Her debut album, To Whom It May Concern had one of the best opening weeks of the year, selling over 142,000 copies. Plans for a tour in June of 2003 are underway as well, and hype continues to generate, especially since Presley opened up to the public in recent interviews on TV with Diane Sawyer and in print with Rolling Stone magazine.Perhaps only JFK and Jackie had a more celebrated '60s marriage than Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu. In any case, the relationship between rock star and aspiring actress culminated after their nuptials, in a baby being born on February 1st, 1968. Lisa Marie Presley came into a very welcoming but invasive world where, as daddy's little girl, all her wishes came true.

difficult life for the king's princess

Treated to a life of luxury at the 14-acre estate known as Graceland, in Memphis, Tennessee, life was still hard for young Lisa Marie. Her father's volatile character made an impression on her and, with all the media present, she was forced to retreat into her shell in order to find some peace and solitude.

At the age of five, Lisa Marie saw Elvis and Priscilla go through a very public divorce. Her mother subsequently won custody over her, though Elvis saw her frequently and never stopped lavishing her with gifts, which included jewels, meetings with celebrities like John Travolta, ponies, and even a golf cart in which she famously rode around the grounds of her father's estate with.
