Jenny McCarthy and Melissa McCarthy Are Cousins, Melissa McCarthy is not the only funny lady in her family. It turns out that the newly-crowned Best Comedy Actress is related to none other than Jenny McCarthy. After Melissa's big win on Sunday night for her role on Mike & Molly, Jenny tweeted, "Congrats to my cousin melissa mccarthy on her Emmy win!!" NY News reported that Melissa, 41, and Jenny, 38, grew up about 40 miles from each other in Illinois. The cousins have collaborated in the past as well. Radar discovered that in 1997, Jenny booked Melissa -- who was then an unknown comic -- for an appearance on her self-titled MTV show.
