Carrollwood Day High School

Carrollwood Day High School, Carrollwood Day School is pleased to announce the hiring of two new coaches. Nick Rodriquez has been selected to guide the Patriot baseball. As the first varsity baseball coach at Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School, Rodriguez led that program to five consecutive regional tournament appearances, and back-to-back district titles in 2010 and 2011.

In 2012, he served as an assistant coach at Tampa Prep, and was a part of that programs first trip ever to the FHSAA final four. Rodriguez holds a career record of 96-54 and was named the Pasco County Coach of the Year in 2010.

“I could not be happier to be a part of the outstanding coaching staff at Carrollwood Day School,” he said. “Holding student athletes to the highest standards in the classroom and on the field was important to me. It is an honor for me to join this school community.”

Carrollwood Day School is also pleased to announce the hiring of local club and competitive softball coach Chuck Fest to head their softball program.

Fest, who has run the Tampa Bay Raiders Baseball and Softball complex, brings 20 plus years of coaching experience to the Patriots program.

“We are excited to add these two high caliber coaches to our staff. They both bring championship expectations to their respective programs,” said Baker Mabry, CDS Athletic Director.
