Famous beards, Now that Movember and No Shave November are upon us, it's time to take a look at some of our favorite men – past and present – who sport some of the trendiest facial hair around. Read on to see if you can guess who these well-known guys are by their famous beards.

A Chicago Bulls player

The clues: The veteran professional athlete was a member of the 2001 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball championship team and two medal-winning USA Olympic basketball teams .

A Union Army general

The clues: A distinctive facial hair style was named after this American Civil War general and has been copied throughout the years, most notably by a legendary 20th century singer and actor.

A New York Knicks player

The clues: The second overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft was the first Knick to win a coveted league award in 2012.

An English naturalist

The clues: Political economist Rev. Thomas Malthus inspired this naturalist to conceptualize evolutionary adaptation through natural selection.
