Walking Dead Actor DUI

Walking Dead Actor DUI - Longtime actor Scott Wilson from the AMC show "The Walking Dead" was charged with drunken driving. Officers say someone called 911 after Wilson, who plays a farmer on the show about a zombie apocalypse, was allegedly driving erratically. He also appeared to be swaying in front of police.

An actor on the television show "The Walking Dead" has been charged with driving drunk in Georgia, where the show is filmed.

Peachtree City police arrested 70-year-old Scott Wilson at 2 a.m. Aug. 18 after someone called 911 to report a Chrysler PT Cruiser driving erratically.

On the AMC drama, Wilson plays a farmer and recovering alcoholic who's part of a band of survivors after a zombie apocalypse.

The arresting officer wrote in a report that Wilson said he'd been drinking scotch and wine at a restaurant. The officer says Wilson was swaying and asked to do yoga poses instead of a field sobriety.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 70-year-old actor told the cops who pulled him over for speeding at 2 a.m. on Aug. 18 that he had imbibed scotch and wine at the Founders Restaurant and Bar in nearby Senoia, where the third season of the hit AMC series is currently shooting.

The arresting officer wrote in his report that Wilson was going 70 miles per hour, or "well above the posted speed limit," in a black PT Cruiser that also "swerved back and forth" several times.
Wilson complained to police that the road was "slanted" and that he wanted to do yoga.

Per the report, the veteran thesp, whose film credits include "In Cold Blood," "In the Heat of the Night" and "Dead Man Walking," blew a 0.143 at the scene (the legal limit is 0.08) and then a 0.151 while being booked into Fayette County jail.
The third season of "The Walking Dead" premieres Oct. 14.
