Protesters Hold "March on Wall Street South"

Protesters Hold "March on Wall Street South", A collection of protest groups will hold a march on what they are calling "Wall Street South" to draw attention to their concerns about big business and its influence on government.

The groups include the Occupy Wall Street movement, which started protesting in New York over a year ago. The marchers have organized under an umbrella planning group known as the Coalition to March on Wall Street South and says they are marching for "Jobs and Justice."

The Coalition has released a document called it's Charlotte Principles which includes this statement:

"The people that will be in the streets of Charlotte in September will come from diverse backgrounds, various ideological traditions, with varying levels of experience with political demonstrations. We know that the corporate media, the arms of the state, and the 1% will make every effort to divide our movement and turn us against one another. Our principled unity is the best tool to ensure that they are not successful."

Their website emphasizes that the march is intended to be a peaceful, family-friendly protest on a number a big issues, those that have been discussed in the campaign and many that haven't.
