Possibly the most endearing and lovely actress to come out of young Hollywood, JLaw has become something of an advocate for healthy body image in recent years.
Her advice was in response to an adorable father’s question on behalf of his teenage girl (lets just roll with his story ok?). The question asked Lawrence about her experience of Hollywood’s critical nature and pressures for girls and women to look a certain way. This is obviously a subject close to home for Jennifer who spoke passionately about the issue.
“You look like you look, and be comfortable. What are you going to do be hungry every single day to make other people happy? That’s just dumb.”
Werd.
Lawrence is no stranger to body image issues herself, with many critics calling her “plus sized” (please someone put me out of my misery if she is plus sized) particularly during her role as Katniss Everdeen.
Lawrence also ripped into The Fashion Police and other shows like it saying “if we don’t change something, this will continue being the real world…it’s disappointing the media keeps it alive and fuels that fire, because I love to eat.”
