Hot Air Balloon Explosion
Hot Air Balloon Explosion, A hot air balloon exploded upon landing in Temecula, California on Saturday morning, injuring four of the six occupants. One of the injured was severely burned when the hot air balloon exploded, according to ABC News on Nov. 9. Witnesses report that others in the balloon's gondola were also burned.

The balloon came down at the corner of Vino Way and Calle Cabernet a little before 8 a.m. Three of the four injured were seriously injured, with the fourth having minor injuries, all four were taken to hospitals in the area.

When the balloon exploded, neighbors ran to help, one witness said that a woman who was in the hot air balloon gondola when it exploded was sitting on the ground badly burnt. The witness, who identified herself as only “Ashley” said the woman “looked like her hair was melting on her head. She was burned so bad, and then a few other people were badly burned.”

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board is investigating this accident. It is unclear as to why the hot air balloon exploded.
