Gary Kubiak Collapse Update: Latest News on Texans Head Coach's Health, Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak collapsed on the field during a Sunday Night Football game vs. the Indianapolis Colts. Kubiak collapsed as the teams were coming off the field for halftime. He was tended to by medical officials on the field and taken to a hospital.
Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star noted where Kubiak went down and described the stunned, somber tone at Reliant Stadium.
After the game Texans GM Rick Smith said Kubiak was in "stable" condition. Kubiak will remain with medical personnel for the next 24 hours. On Monday it was reported he had suffered a mini-stroke.
The 52-year-old Kubiak was taken off the turf on a stretcher. NBC Sports captured the scene and reported that the coach was thankfully conscious and talking.
