Driver Beaten: After Accident, Crowd Beats Driver in Chicago
Driver Beaten: After Accident, Crowd Beats Driver in Chicago, A driver beaten after accident had been involved in a crash in Chicago’s South Side earlier this week, according to reports. The driver apparently hit two pedestrians before he was beaten up.

According to CBS Chicago, the driver was dragged from his car and beaten by a crowd of people.

One of the men he hit is in critical condition.

“People got unruly, dragged the driver out of the car and assaulted him,” Chicago Fire Department spokesman Chief Juan Hernandez was quoted as saying.
The 59-year-old driver, who was not identified, was later taken to a nearby hospital, NBC Chicago reported.

A witness said that a woman who was hit by the car was tossed into the air and landed on her face, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The crow of people who beat up the man were apparently relatives and friends of the woman.

Police said that no arrests or citations were made in the case.

The Tribune reported that there were two men inside the car who were attacked, but other local Chicago media said there was only a driver.

The man was driving along 9300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue in the Burnside neighborhood.
