Bryant Park shooting: 2 wounded in skating rink shooting in Manhattan, A Bryant Park shooting unleashed in Manhattan Saturday night, an outdoor skating rink for shoppers and tourists. Two men were shot and wounded in the shooting spree. Reuters reports Nov. 10 that both men were transported to Bellevue Hospital and are said to be in stable condition.

One of the shooting victims was hit in the leg and the other struck in the torso. The armed gunman -- or gunmen -- are at large, authorities said.

A number of pictures and videos of the terrifying incident have been uploaded online. Crowds of people are seen panicking and running out of the outdoor skating rink. One of the victims could be seen lying on the ice from the apparent gunshot injury.

New York Times reports that an unidentified witness said he saw a man skate up to another, draw a gun, and fire it. The report stated that the Bryant Park shooting occurred at about 11 p.m., ET and that three shots were fired.

The Bryant Park skating rink sits along Sixth Avenue between 40th and 42nd Streets in a prime location for shoppers and tourists to skate for free. It's close to the New York Public Library and is framed by various gift shops.

Every week more violence with guns is making the top of headlines. The Bryant Park shooting in Manhattan will certainly make people uneasy in the area for a while. It seems there's nowhere people can trust the fact a shooting spree won't break out at anytime.
