Batman and wonder woman

Batman and wonder woman
Batman and wonder woman, The swirling rumors that Wonder Woman may appear as a character in the sequel to Man of Steel – the Superman blockbuster released in June – became even more prominent this weekend at the Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles.

Comic book fans everywhere have been awaiting a silver screen appearance by their favorite female hero for years; now, the wait may be over. Both Warner Bros. Pictures creative development and worldwide production president, Greg Silverman, and Thor star, Jaimie Alexander, recently hinted that a film including Wonder Woman may be in the works.

Alexander moderated, “Movie Talk,” an AMC panel discussion regarding superhero films at Comikaze on Friday, and blabbed to Forbes that she had been in talks with “both companies” – Warner Bros. and Marvel – about the Wonder Woman character appearing in a movie.

The sequel to Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman, is set to be released in 2015 and has already cast Ben Affleck in the role of Superman.

At the recent Entertainment and Tech Summit, Silverman discussed the rumors surrounding the upcoming film, although he did not address any superhero or comic book characters’, specifically.

“We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters,” Silverman said. “Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it’s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.”

Alexander also spoke out about the heroine, telling Forbes, “I’m a huge fan of Wonder Woman. I really think if this is the closest that we’re ever going to get to Wonder Woman, then I’m proud to play Sif. I hope that other comic book entities can learn a lesson from Marvel in how to execute a female character the way it should be done. I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it’s done with class, I’d rather it not be done.”

Even if Wonder Woman isn’t seen in Batman vs. Superman, there is still speculation that a film centering on the famous female character could be coming. It was recently rumored that Avengers writer and director Joss Whedon may be developing a movie about Wonder Woman.
