Batman And Wonder Woman Could Appear Together In Superman Sequel, Batman and Wonder Woman may be sharing some time on the big screen in 2015.

Speculation has been rising that Wonder Woman will be included in the follow-up to the Superman blockbuster Man of Steel. The sequel, Batman vs. Superman, brings together the two biggest superheroes in the same movie, but there are rumors that other heroes could join the cast.

Greg Silverman, president of creative development and worldwide production at Warner Bros. Pictures, addressed the rumors at the Entertainment and Tech Summit, but wouldn’t say definitely if Batman and Wonder Woman would appear together.

“We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters. Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it’s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero,” Silverman said.

Even though Warner Bros. has yet to confirm that she is actually in the movie, there is already speculation of who might play Wonder Woman in Superman vs. Batman. At a recent panel discussion, Thor: The Dark World star Jaimie Alexander hinted that she had been in touch with both Marvel and Warner Bros. regarding superhero movies.

This led to speculation that studio executives might want her for the Wonder Woman role opposite Superman and Batman.

After the panel, Alexander told Forbes reporter Mark Hughes that she is impressed with how Marvel incorporates strong female characters into comic book storylines.

“I gotta say, Marvel really writes their women very well. And that’s one of the biggest things for me, when I look at playing a character I want to make sure that I’m playing the character first and the physicality is second, and Marvel understands that,” she said. “They’ve done a tremendous job, especially in our film, of portraying women as strong and confident. And a side note is that, you know what? They’re pretty, they’re beautiful, inside and out. And that’s just a secondary. So they’ve really set the bar very high.”

But she added that Batman and Wonder Woman would only work on screen if the Wonder Woman character is fully fleshed out.

‘I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it’s done with class, I’d rather it not be done,” she said.

If Wonder Batman and Wonder Woman don’t appear together in Superman vs. Batman, there is still a chance that the foremost female superhero could get some screen time. There is word that executives are trying to put a Wonder Woman movie together, a project Avengers writer and director Joss Whedon is reportedly behind.
