nicolas cage spirit of vengeance
Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage has been discussing the transition that his character Johnny Blaze has made between Ghost Rider and the forthcoming sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Nicolas claims that in the first Ghost Rider, his character was coming to terms with the curse but in the sequel he has been living with it for some time, so is a little bit edgier.
Cage explained, “Well there was more to be said with the character. The first Ghost Rider, Johnny was trying to keep the curse at bay, so the comedy came from him eating stupid jelly beans or listening to music, to relax and stop his head igniting. Spirit of Vengeance he’s been living with the curse for eight years, so his body, his state of mind, everything is edgier.”
He added, “He’s more sarcastic, like a cop or a paramedic develop a dark sense of humour to cope with the horrors of the things that he’s seen.” Nicolas Cage can be seen reprising his role as Johnny Blaze aka Ghost Rider, when Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is released on February 17, 2012 in both the US and the UK.
