Folk Nation gang leader Devon Rodney captured by Feds - A REPUTED leader of the violent Folk Nation gang was captured Wednesday morning hiding in his girlfriend's Brooklyn apartment, authorities said.



Devon Rodney is charged in a racketeering indictment with ordering gang members to kill rivals and conspiring to rob jewelry stores in Manhattan, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Federal prosecutors have said the Folk Nation gang terrorized residents at the Ebbets Field Houses in Flatbush for years with their shootings and mayhem.

A 10-year-old girl was shot in the neck by a Folk Nation gang member carrying out Rodney's order to kill a rival at a block party in 2008.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Zainab Ahmad and Seth DuCharme said that Rodney "recently made concerted efforts to determine if any fellow gang members were cooperating with the FBI and the NYPD.”

"In the view of the gang, 'snitching' is a capital offense," the prosecutors stated in court papers earlier this month when seven Folk Nation thugs were charged.
