Although Katy and John are reportedly back on these days, it seems they were broken up back when she did the interview.

The 28-year-old confessed that although their relationship was "over" when she spoke to the magazine, she still has strong feelings for him. "No, I was madly in love with him," she says. "I still am madly in love with him."

So what was the issue?

"All I can say about the relationship is that he's got a beautiful mind," Katy explains. "Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I'm attracted to these broken birds."

The Part of Me singer also plays a song that she wrote about John, which the writer describes as "very sad."

Katy also drops another breakup bombshell, revealing that her ex-husband Russell Brand dumped her via text.
