Nautica Malibu Triathlon Children's Hospital Los Angeles

Nautica Malibu Triathlon Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Over 3,350 participants swam, biked and ran in the 26th Annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon, raising over $1.17 million for Children's Hospital Los Angeles' Pediatric Cancer Research Program. Celebrities, triathletes and corporate teams alike raced side-by-side on the sands and in the waters of Malibu cheered on by supportive crowds, to benefit this truly worthy cause.

Hollywood's elite lent their support with star athletes including Claire Holt who came in first in the celebrity female division with a time of 1:44:31, and Eric Etebari who came in first in the celebrity male division with a time of 1:39:56. Team "Sheriff in Town" brought home the victory in the Celebrity Co-Ed Relay Division with a time of 1:27:28. Also competing in the Celebrity Division were: James Marsden, Jon Cryer, Rainn Wilson, Alison Sweeney, Jillian Michaels, Mark Paul Gosselaar, Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Josh Hopkins, to name a few.

Craig Pansing was named the overall victor of the triathlon, finishing the half-mile swim, 18 mile bicycle ride and four mile run in 1:22:50. Megan Severa was named the winner of the female division with a time of 1:36:19.

Money raised by the Nautica Malibu Triathlon will go to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles' Pediatric Cancer Research Program, which is dedicated to curing and preventing childhood cancers. The program provides groundbreaking treatments and therapies for children with some of the most serious and life-threatening forms of cancers.

In addition to cheering the participants on, friends, family and fans of the Nautica Malibu Triathlon enjoyed games in the Fun Zone and watched little competitors take on the Nautica Kids Run and Tot Trot.
