A murder probe has been launched into the stabbing of a teenager.
The 18-year-old man was stabbed to death in Gill Avenue, Newham, east London, on Friday night after being chased by a gang of youths.
Police attended the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 6.50pm.
John MacDonald, detective chief inspector of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "We believe that the victim may have been chased from Butchers Road at the junction of Hooper Road down into Boreham Avenue, E16. The people chasing him comprised of a group of black males."
Next of kin have been informed but formal identification has not yet taken place.
There have been no arrests.
