Read this woman's hilarious apology note to burglars: 'Sorry our stuff sucks, A British woman has written a letter of apology to the burglars who ransacked their house and who likely left disappointed that the homeowners didn’t have better wares to offer the robbers. MSN Now on Wednesday said the homeowners were disappointed that the thieves didn’t take at least one other item – their aged VHS tapes.

Kate Barrett, a 36-year-old woman from Northampton, England, wrote that she and her partner, Dan Owens, were “disappointed” the thieves had ignored her VHS video and cassette collection.

The burglars broke into the couple’s home on Sunday evening, making off with some cash, a camera and an iPod.

Owens, 34, said that the pair were out of town and returned to find their rear door smashed in. “I'd gone to my parents for the weekend while Kate went to London to watch a show,” Owens said. “She called and I came straight over and the place had been ransacked.”

Owens said Kate is quite the collector of old and useless tapes. “She's a big hoarder and has all these old tapes and videos from way back when and they are welcome to those,” Dan remarked.

Northamptonshire Police said officers are investigating the burglary.

Kate’s note to her robbers is equal parts sarcastic and hilarious:

Dear Burglars,

Thanks for popping by the other night and we're sorry we didn't have more for you to take.

As you now know, we don't have particularly expensive tastes so there's no need to come in again, unless you would like to take my collection of VHS videos and cassettes - Dan is very disappointed you didn't take these first time round.

If you would like them just knock on the front door and ask - no need to break another patio door as it's dreadfully hard work cleaning up all the glass.
