Marissa Jaret Winokur

Marissa Jaret Winokur, At the beginning of this year, she revealed her determination to lose weight after an indulgent holiday season saw her pile on the pounds.

And all the hard work seems to have paid off for actress Marissa Jaret Winokur as she showed off a distinctly slimmer figure at Monday night's Wreck-It Ralph première.

The star, famous for her role as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray on Broadway and co-hosting The Talk, showed off her svelte frame in a black pencil skirt and white blouse at last night's Los Angeles premiere.

The 39-year-old, who currently stars in U.S. TV Land sitcom Retired at 35, brought her four-year-old son Zev to the animated screening.

Back in January, she told People she was intending to adapt a healthy lifestyle regime, using her Retired co-star Josh McDermitt as a support system.

'We'll text each other in the morning [about our hikes],' she said. 'Since the year began, I'm doing well. Everything's back on track.'

'Being on set is really hard because there's craft service,' she added. 'Josh and I have literally been like, "We can't go to craft service without each other." We're like, "I'm your sponsor. Come on, let's go." We can't mess around. Craft service is a disaster.'

However, even in January, the star said her clothes were 'fitting better' and she no longer wanted 'to eat crap.'

The actress has had her fair share of struggles, having been diagnosed with cervical cancer back in 2000 during the early development of Hairspray.
She beat the disease and later became a mother to Zev with the aid of a surrogate.
