Amish Mafia Reality Show, The Discovery Channel is following the example their sister station set with their alleged reality show “Breaking Amish” with an Amish docu-series of their own, “Amish Mafia.” The report was updated on Nov. 9 with additional details about this new show set to debut in December.
The New York Post reported on Nov. 8 that “Amish Mafia” is about a group of men who work together to “protect” the Amish community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Four men enforce justice within the community and the church elders do not appear to mind, despite their “un-Amish” methods. It appears that “Breaking Amish” has sparked new interest in the Amish and their way of life.
Levi is the leader of the “Amish Mafia.” He is a member of the Amish community in Lancaster, but not a member of the Amish church since he was not baptized. Because he was not baptized, he is able to walk the line between the Amish world and the world of the English. His three “henchmen” are Jolin, Alvin and John. All four men take the law into their own hands and work together to enforce the laws on the Amish in Lancaster.
Levi and his henchmen will be seen catching an Amish man with a prostitute. “Amish Mafia” will also show the men threatening an Amish man asking for sexual favors in return for lending her money. Most of the scenes will be re-enacted to protect the identities of those involved.
“Amish Mafia” will premier on Wednesday, Dec. 12 on Discovery.
