Angelina Jolie And Children

Angelina Jolie And Children, In August it emerged that Angelina Jolie's four-year-old daughter Vivienne is set to appear with her mother in Disney's Maleficent; now it seems two more Jolie-Pitt siblings will also be starring in the upcoming live-action take on Sleeping Beauty, according to gossip site US Weekly.
Pax Jolie-Pitt, eight, and Zahara Jolie-Pitt, seven, will join their little sister in Maleficent, which sees their mother take on the role of Disney's most famous villain in a version that tells the story from the point of view of the titular wicked fairy. Vivienne won't be throwing her toys out of the proverbial pram, however, as her siblings are only taking smaller roles. Apparently, six-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was also supposed to be in the film but "she was bored and not in the mood during the day her part was supposed to happen", according to US Weekly's source.

Maleficent also features Juno Temple, Sam Riley, Brenton Thwaites, India Eisley, Miranda Richardson and Kenneth Cranham, none of whom are thought to be related to Jolie. Vivienne stars as a young version of Princess Aurora, aka Sleeping Beauty, in the retelling, with Elle Fanning playing the character as a teenager.

Vivienne and Shiloh are Jolie's children with Brad Pitt, while Zahara was adopted by the couple from an orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 2005. Pax was adopted by Jolie from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with Pitt later adopting him. The couple have two more children.

Maleficent is the latest in a torrent of Hollywood remakes of children's fantasy stories, with two Snow White films hitting cinemas in the past year and several new takes on The Wizard of Oz being developed. The trend was sparked by the success of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, which took more than $1bn worldwide in 2010. Maleficent, directed by Robert Stromberg, is due to arrive in cinemas in March 2014.
