Clark Kent Quitting Daily Planet, That's the news out of USA Today, spoiling a plot point for Superman #13, this week's new issue, and the first regular issue by writer Scott Lobdell and artist Ken Rocafort. Superman's alter ego has been a reporter at the Daily Planet since the 1940s, and his central supporting cast has included employees Perry White, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen for as long."I wasn't going to test the waters.

Whether that means the character is in fact related to Kal and Kara's "House of El" remains to be seen, but the character will make Superman question himself in new ways.
"He sees Superman as an embarrassment, a Kryptonian who's been completely watered down and sullied by having spent his entire life on Earth," said Lobdell. H'el will also be trying to recruit Supergirl, who he sees as more of a pure Kryptonian.
Clark will still appear during the storyline, though, and he'll have to juggle dealing with the ramifications of quitting the Planet while trying to save the Earth as Superman.
