If you don't believe it, watch the video at the end of this story.

Central Valley High's Austin Rehkow drilled the kick, with distance to spare, to tie the game at 55 as regulation expired Thursday night. Central Valley went on to beat Shadle Park High 62-55 in overtimeRehkow's field goal set a Washington state record. The previous mark was 62 yards set in 1929.

According to The National Federation of High Schools Record Book, Rehkow's kick tied the mark for the second-longest high school field goal. The record is 68 yards, set by Dirk Borgognone of Reno, Nev., in 1985.

The NFL record is 63 yards.

Rehkow became an overnight sensation after the kick -- the Today Show called, so did ESPN, according to the Spokesman-Review in Washington.

“To be truthful, we kicked some 67-yarders two days ago with the wind behind me and I didn’t make any of those,” Rehkow told the newspaper. “So to be able to do that in a game is just a great feeling.”

Rehkow said he is being recruited by colleges and received a partial scholarship offer from Eastern Washington University in the past week, though his record is likely to spur more offers.
