"American Idol" and "E! News" host Ryan Seacrest, 37, has apparently become so busy that the E! Network has decided to replace him. Starting Nov. 12, the new co-host will join Giuliana Rancic on the daily entertainment news program. The news comes just after other E! hosts Jason Kennedy were named as co-anchors on the weekend edition of the show.
After a long search, E! has finally found a new co-host to stand aside Giuliana Rancic on “E! News” — none other than host and actor Terrence Jenkins.

Tuesday, E! officially announced Jenkins would be stepping into the role Ryan vacated early in the year for a special correspondent position at “the Today Show” (Ryan will continue as Managing Editor of E! News). The former host of BET’s “106 & Park” will begin his new weekday anchor gig starting November 2. Joining Rancic and the rest of the “E! News” crew, Terrence will work on personality profiles and report breaking news.

“I’ve always had a passion for the wide spectrum of pop culture that E! News covers so well; I can’t wait to get started,” Jenkins told E! “I’ve had a great career so far, and it¹s all been building toward this. And then getting to work with great people like Giuliana and the entire E! News team just makes this seem like an even more perfect opportunity.”
Ryan tweeted early Tuesday, welcoming Terrence on board saying, “Proud to welcome @TerrenceJ to the team at @ENews. You’ll fit in well… considering all our doors are at least 5’9″.”
