Chad Johnson Gets Tattoo of Evelyn Lozada: His Other Crazy Antics, Outspoken wide receiver Chad Johnson is no stranger to making headlines off the football field, and his latest attention-grabbing stunt is no exception. The star, whose playing career might be over after he was released by the Miami Dolphins in August, recently got a tattoo of wife Evelyn Lozada on his leg.
While that might seem sweet, it's a little strange considering that Lozada filed for divorce from Chad following a domestic incident last month. However, the NFL star seems intent on winning back her heart by displaying the ink. It remains to be seen if Evelyn will change her mind about the divorce after Chad's latest move. In any case, the receiver is no stranger to off-the-field antics. Here is a look at some of his notable stunts in recent years.
He changed his name
Chad built a reputation for his ridiculous celebrations on the football field, but that was nothing compared to his controversial name change. The receiver was so in love with his number 85 jersey that he decided to honor it by changing his last name. After toying with the idea since 2006, Chad Johnson officially became Chad Ochocinco in 2008. He apparently wasn't satisfied with that for long, and in 2009 he considered changing his last name to "Hachi Go." Yep, that would be 85 in Japanese. Though he never went through with that change, he did restore the Johnson name earlier this year.
He had his own dating show
In 2010, Chad decided to take on a new venture when he launched his own dating show. Not surprisingly, he was the guy that all of the ladies would be after on the VH1 program. In "Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch," Chad had to choose his love from a group of 85 girls. After cutting the group down to 16, Chad ranked them and placed them in a tournament-style bracket. As entertaining as the short-lived show was, Chad ultimately didn't find true love with the winner.
He tried to ride a bull
During the NFL lockout in 2011, Chad made headlines when he attempted to try out for a professional soccer team. However, another sports venture earned him even more press. In May of that year, he was challenged to ride a bull for eight seconds by a member of the Professional Bull Riders group. To the amusement of fans, Chad lasted less than two seconds on the sturdy animal. Despite his failed attempt, he still managed to collect a pretty hefty appearance fee.
