Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, They once spent nearly every day together. But one year after Demi Moore announced her split from her toy boy Ashton Kutcher their lives couldn't look more different.

As Demi Moore looked bedraggled on a trip to the gym on Monday her estranged husband was romancing his new love in Rome. The Two and a Half Men star's marriage split seemed but a distant memory for the actor as he enjoyed romantic dinner dates in Rome with new love Mila Kunis on Sunday and Monday night.

The pair are in the Italian capital while Mila, 29, shoots scenes for her upcoming movie The Third Person.

The film, also starring Liam Neeson and James Franco, is about three couples with three interlocking love stories, set in Rome, Paris and New York.
And it seems this couple can't bear to be apart.

Ashton is keeping the Black Swan star company while she works and while on a break, the pair headed to swanky eatery Antica Pesa on Sunday as well as the Ristorante Boccondivino on Monday.

As usual the couple, who have been dating since the Spring, were casually attired and bundled up against the wintry weather.

Mila wore jeans, her customary biker boots, a blue and black stripey jumper and a cropped jacket.

She also had a plaid scarf round her neck and as the weather turned chillier she donned a beige Mac.
Ashton meanwhile sported his trademark flat cap and opted for a plaid shirt underneath his overcoat and teamed it with chunky trainers.
Across the Atlantic his ex-wife Demi Moore spent some time with friends at a park in West Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Despite the somewhat grim anniversary the Indecent Proposal actress looked happy and in good spirits.
She wore a denim jacket and corduroy trousers and appeared in far better shape than in recent months.

And it seems despite the divorce and the fact that Ashton, 32, cheated on her with a waitress, the couple have managed to put aside their differences and are working together on a charitable cause.

The released a statement for THORN: Digital Defenders of Children, which read: 'For the past three years we have focused our work broadly on combating child sex trafficking.
'It has become crystal clear in our efforts that technology plays an increasingly large role in this crime and in the sexual exploitation of children overall.

'We believe that the technology-driven aspect of these crimes demands its own attention and investment.'

Ice Skating Champ Lost Profits

Ice Skating Champ Lost Profits, Oksana Baiul, the ice skating champ from Ukraine, is taking her former representatives to court for withholding profits from her since the day they signed her when she was still a minor. We’re talking many millions of dollars here.

Back in 1994, Baiul won a gold medal at the Winter Olympics and was thus catapulted to international fame. She signed with WME when she was still underage and, she says, they used her poor command of English to trick her out of her rightfully earned money, The Hollywood Reporter says after getting a hold of the court documents filed in Los Angeles the other day.

Until August 2011 when she signed with a different representation, Baiul has been bleeding money – almost literally.

“The Ukrainian champion alleges in a new lawsuit against the William Morris Endeavor talent agency that she has been taken advantage of – starting at the age of 16, when, not understanding English, she experienced her Olympic success,” THR writes.

“On Monday, Baiul filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court that claims she gave the defendants the right to represent her when other talent agents were hounding her, and that since then, WME has collected money on her behalf and refused to remit what she is owed,” adds the same media outlet.

As of November 2011, her new representatives collected the impressive amount of $9.5 million (€7.4 million) on her behalf, but Baiul believes this is just the tip of the iceberg of the amounts she’s due.

“Not until November 19, 2011, did Baiul discover, through investigations by her personal manager, [Carlo] Farina, that though Defendants undertook the duty to collect and in fact collected almost US $9.5 [€7.4 million] million on Baiul's behalf, Defendants failed to collect additional sums to which Baiul was contractually entitled, failed to remit payment of the additional sums to Baiul and/or took the payments owing to Baiul and wrongful transferred them to OCL, UFG, and their agents,” court documents allege.

They also list endorsements or other jobs Baiul signed for and did over the years, but for which she was never paid. One can only imagine to how much they might amount to in total.

Cory Booker Food Stamps

Cory Booker Food Stamps, Newark Mayor Cory Booker says he plans on living on food stamps for at least a week after receiving a challenge on Twitter.

Booker is a vegetarian, yet creating a meal on food stamps will still require that he make some lifestyle adjustments--while adding in a dash of creativity.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the average monthly food stamp benefit was $133.26 per person in New Jersey in fiscal year 2011.

While he won't have the more expensive meat products to buy, the busy mayor won't be able to purchase convenience foods either.  When you're on food stamps you're not allowed to buy prepared items: no fast food, deli sandwiches, for example.

Based on that, Booker will have have to focus on making meals at home with a pretty limited shopping list. Here are a couple of menu ideas for Newark's mayor as he prepares for his challenge.

Mouseketeer Dies

Mouseketeer Dies, Former Mousekeeteer Bonita Lynn Fields Elder, an agile dancer who showcased those skills on the 1950s children's show, has died in Indiana at age 68.

Fields' cousin, Robbin Myers, of DeBary, Fla., said Tuesday that Fields died Saturday at a Richmond hospital following a two-year battle with throat cancer. She said Fields moved to Indiana a few years ago to care for her ailing, now-deceased mother.

Fields was 12 when her dancing abilities helped her win a slot on "The Mickey Mouse Club" in 1957 in the show's third season. She auditioned in California, where her family had moved from Indiana when she was 9.

Myers says Fields went by the name Lynn but adopted the stage name "Bonnie," a shortened version of her first name, for the show.

Jack Taylor 138 Points

Jack Taylor 138 Points, Jack Taylor's performance left even Kobe Bryant impressed. The Division III guard shattered the NCAA scoring record with 138 points, hoisting a mind-boggling 108 attempts — or one shot every 20 seconds — in eclipsing the previous record by 25 points.

Taylor made 27 of 71 3-point attempts, was 52 of 108 overall from the field and added seven free throws on 10 attempts while playing 36 minutes in Grinnell's 179-104 victory over Faith Baptist Bible on Tuesday night in Grinnell, Iowa.

"That's crazy, man. I don't care what level you're at. Scoring 138 points is pretty insane," the Lakers' superstar said after Los Angeles' victory over the Nets.
Even Taylor was having a hard time processing his feat.

"I don't think reality has set in yet," said the 5-foot-10, 170-pound sophomore from Black River Falls, Wis.

That's partly because Taylor was coming off a poor shooting weekend and started Tuesday's night game off slow — at least according to his standards. His coaches figured the best way to get him on track was for him to keep chucking, so that's what Taylor did.

"Maybe my cold shooting from the weekend was affecting me," Taylor said. "But then they started to drop."
Taylor had 58 points at halftime.
Then he got hot.

Taylor was 32 of 58 from the field — including 18 3s — in the final 20 minutes and averaged an astonishing four points a minute in the second half.

"It felt like anything I tossed up was going in," Taylor said.
Bryant, who has a shoe that bears his Black Mamba nickname, has a theory.
"He must have been wearing the Mambas, man. Only Mambas have no conscience to shoot the ball that much," said Bryant, who has an 81-point game, second-best in NBA history, on his resume.

Rio Grande's Bevo Francis held the NCAA scoring record with 113 points against Hillsdale in 1954. In 1953, Francis had 116 against Ashland Junior College. Frank Selvy is the only other player to reach triple figures, scoring 100 points for Division I Furman against Newberry in 1954.

The previous Grinnell record was 89 by Griffin Lentsch last Nov. 19 against Principia.
Taylor recently transferred to Grinnell, located about 50 miles east of Des Moines, after playing one season for Wisconsin-La Crosse. Under coach David Arseneault, the Pioneers press and shoot 3s like nobody else in the country at any level. They've led the nation in scoring for 17 of the past 19 seasons while ranking first nationally in 3-point shooting for the 15 of those past 19 years.

Taylor's game was so astounding it overshadowed the 70 points Faith Baptist's David Larson had on 34-of-44 shooting.
Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks were amazed by Taylor's accomplishment when they heard about it after their victory in New Orleans.

"I never heard of nothing like that. That's like a video game," Anthony said, an incredulous look on his face. "How can you shoot 100 times, though?"
He joked that from now on when someone asks if he's taking too many shots, he'll mention "that someone shot it 108 times."

Kate Upton Mercedes Benz

Kate Upton Mercedes Benz, Kate Upton has been cast to star in a Mercedes Benz ad for the Super Bowl, although promoting cars may seem an unusual job for a model that can't drive.

The 20 year-old rising star of the modeling world recently agreed to join R&B artist Usher for a Mercedes Benz commercial that will air during the Super Bowl in 2013. According to reports that ad will be a 60 second demonstration of what people are willing to do, in order to achieve the "object of their desire."

But Upton, who has revealed that she does not yet have a license, will be unable to do any driving in the commercial and thus, will be portrayed as the "object of desire," according to the New York Post. It appears that Usher will be left to do the driving, and presumably the desiring as well.

This year's Super Bowl will also be held at the Mercedes Benz Dome in New Orleans, which has encouraged the car company to fund a half time ad after skipping out on producing one this year according to Mail Online. But should Upton be permitted to promote a car when she has no driving experience whatsoever? Why not said one user.

"I'm sure all these young, attractive models in the Carls Jr. ads don't really chow down on burgers, but that doesn't stop them from being in the ads," one user wrote on the Mail Online blog.

Lohan on Leno

Lohan on Leno, Lindsay Lohan sat down with Jay Leno for another awkward interview. In addition to explaining why she canceled on Barbra Walters -- if you can call that an explanation --

Lohan made a comment that pretty much explains everything every problem she's run into in the last six years:

At the ripe old age of 26, Lohan believes she's still a kid.

Lohan has been working since she was 3-year-old and maintains that she loves acting. When asked if in the past she ever felt like she wanted to take time off to enjoy her childhood, she responded:

"I think there was a point in my life ... it was more recent than earlier on, but I kinda am still a kid, in a way." she told Leno. "I'm 26."

Sadly, Leno didn't follow up her answer by asking if she is delusional, because we're not sure in what world a 26-year-old is still a kid -- especially when many of her peers (who haven't become train wrecks) including Hilary Duff, Ashlee Simpson, and Nicole Richie all have families and are living adult lives, with adult responsibilities.

The "Liz & Dick" star recently told Us Weekly that she wants to be known as an actress and not a troubled starlet, claiming she's ready for a comeback: "People can think what they want, and the only thing I can do is prove them wrong," she said.

But it's becoming more apparent that she's nowhere near ready for a comeback. Just last week she told "Good Morning America" that she likes to learn from her mistakes. It's an eye-roll inducing statement that's canned as ever given that Lohan just admitted she still thinks of herself as a child, which basically means she doesn't think she's responsible for her actions.

Romney pumps gas

Romney pumps gas, Aside from a controversial conference call with donors, Mitt Romney has kept a low profile since losing the 2012 presidential election to Barack Obama.

The former Republican nominee was spotted with his wife, Ann, at a screening of the new "Twilight" movie, "Breaking Dawn — Part 2," in Del Mar, Calif., on Saturday. According to TMZ, the pair later "hit up a pizza place across the street."

On Monday, a photograph of Romney filling up at a gas station in La Jolla, Calif., was posted to Reddit.com.

"Mitt Romney at my local gas station," Reddit user mkb95 wrote. "He looks tired and washed up."
Romney's hair appears to be slightly frazzled, unlike the slicked-back coif he sported on the trail—though it's nothing like Al Gore's post-2000-election-loss beard.

Other Reddit users countered that the former Massachusetts governor merely looked annoyed at having his photo taken at the pump.

"I talked to him for a good three minutes while he was filling his tank," the photographer added. "I guess he's moving to one of his houses in the town I live in, La Jolla."

That would appear to be in line with what those close to Romney thought he'd do after the election—spend more time with his family (the 65-year-old has five sons and 18 grandchildren) and permanently move to California, where he owns a $12 million mansion.

Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan is officially retiring from action movies.Chan's upcoming film, "Chinese Zodiac 2012," will be his last big action film, according to Reuters.

"I'm not young any more, honestly," the 58-year-old Hong Kong actor told Reuters while in Beijing filming a documentary.

Although this is Chan's final action flick, it is not the end of his career. He said special effects and stunt doubles are viable options for the future. "Why (do) I have to use my own life to still do these kind of things? I will still do as much as I can. But I just don't want to risk my life to sit in a wheelchair, that's all."

Chan is proud of his action-film swan song. "I'm the director, I'm the writer, I'm the producer, I'm the action director, almost everything," he told Reuters of "Chinese Zodiac 2012," which also stars Oliver Platt and Emilie Guillot. "This really, really is my baby. You know, I've been writing the script for seven years."

Back in May, Chan first announced that he would be retiring from action movies during an interview with The Telegraph, when he explained "Chinese Zodiac 2012" will be his last.

“This is my last action film. I tell you, I’m not young any more. I’m really, really tired," he told The Telegraph. "And the world is too violent right now. It’s a dilemma -- I like action but I don’t like violence.”

He hopes to move his career in a different direction, adding, “For the last 10 years I have been making some other different movies. I want to be an Asian Robert De Niro. I don’t just want to be an action star, I want to be a true actor. I want to get rid of my image."

Chan is not only a famous stuntman, but also an icon of Hong Kong cinema. He has displayed his physical skill and acrobatic fighting style in 113 titles during a career that spans over 40 years, according to his IMDb filmography.

The actor may be willing to come out of retirement for "Rush Hour 4". Co-star Chris Tucker recently revealed that a sequel is in the works. "Rush Hour 4, we're looking into it, me and Jackie [Chan]," he told Vulture. "We're trying to get it going, so we're developing something, so hopefully we'll get something in."

"Chinese Zodiac 2012," about a man who searches the world for a set of mystical artifacts, is set to hit theaters in China on Dec. 20.

Free money ATM

Free money ATM, I just had to share this story…this happened at Glasgow in Scotland.  Do you see the lengthy queue formed in this photo?

Well, some people had gone to an ATM in Burnside, Glasgow to withdraw some cash, when they noticed the ATM was dispensing double the amount of money requested by customers making withdrawals.

Word of the fault quickly spread as  a picture of the queue at the bank machine was posted on Twitter. Excited customers flocked to the Bank of Scotland ATM for a share of the windfall.

The Police were later alerted and they stood guard at the cashpoint until the bank could shut down the machine.

One user, Lauren, tweeted: ‘The bank of Scotland at Burnside was giving out double money now police are standing there so no one can go to it #gutting’.

A disappointed Mark Gallagher, who uses the Stonelaw Road branch, tweeted in response: ‘I was elsewhere’.

The Bank of Scotland was eventually able to switch off the machine remotely after being alerted about the costly blunder. It said it was unlikely to take action because of the difficulty of tracing all the payments dispensed that afternoon.

I know you wished this could also happen in Naija right?…LOL!!…Ole!  At least we now know that oyibo also like awoof.

Warren Rudman dies

Warren Rudman dies, New Hampshire (Reuters) - Former U.S. Senator Warren Rudman, a moderate New Hampshire Republican known for a budget deal that helped slash government deficits in the 1990s, died on Monday at age 82, state officials said.

Rudman, who served in the Senate from 1980 to 1993, was best known for his work in the 1980s on what became known as the Gramm-Rudman Act — a bipartisan budget agreement that provided automatic cuts to federal spending if the deficit exceeded certain targets.

A platoon leader in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, Rudman was a successful New Hampshire lawyer who was appointed attorney general for the state in 1970. In 1979, he defeated John Sununu, a future New Hampshire governor and chief of staff to President George H.W. Bush, in the Republican primary for the U.S.

Senate and went on to beat incumbent Democrat John Durkin. He later became the top Republican on the Senate committee investigating the White House's role in the Iran-Contra arms scandal under President Ronald Reagan and helped shepherd the confirmation of U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Souter, who had worked under Rudman in the New Hampshire attorney general's office.

He declined an invitation to become secretary of the treasury under Democratic President Bill Clinton.

Rudman's passing was mourned by both Democratic and Republican officials. "He always put principle over politics and fought for what he believed in," said Senator Jeanne Shaheen, a New Hampshire Democrat, in a statement. "Senator Rudman's willingness to work across party lines to get the job done remains an example for all elected officials."

After retiring from the Senate, he served on a number of defense and intelligence advisory boards and practiced law in Washington with the firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

"Although I had a lot of interests, the deficit, the national debt, and adequate military spending were things that I was the most interested in," Rudman said in an interview with researchers from the University of California in 2010.

He saw the problem of persistent deficits as more than a problem of just the political class.
"Frankly, I blame the American people as much as I blame Congress," he said in the same interview. "They talk a great game, the American people do. ... Once you get into specifics, you suddenly realize the American people were against deficit spending, as long as it didn't affect anything that they benefit from, which is where we are today."

Price Is Right model wins suit

Price Is Right model wins suit, Jurors awarded nearly $777,000 Tuesday to a former "The Price is Right" model who claimed she was discriminated against by producers because of her pregnancy.

Brandi Cochran, 41, said she was rejected by the game show's producers when she tried to return to work in early 2010 after taking maternity leave.

The Superior Court jury determined her pregnancy was the reason she wasn't rehired and awarded Cochran $776,944 in the suit against producers FremantleMedia North America and The Price is Right Productions.

In their defense, producers said they were satisfied with the five models working on the show at the time Cochran sought to return.

A second phase of the trial will determine whether Cochran should be awarded punitive damages. Cochran's attorneys had asked for more than $8 million, City News Service reported.
Jurors began deliberations Thursday, telling Judge Kevin Brazile several times that they were deadlocked before reaching the verdict.

In a statement, FremantleMedia said it expects to be "fully vindicated" after an appeal, adding that it stands behind executive producer Mike Richards and the show's staff.

"We believe the verdict in this case was the result of a flawed process in which the court, among other things, refused to allow the jury to hear and consider that 40 percent of our models have been pregnant," and further "important" evidence, FremantleMedia said.

A call seeking comment from Cochran's attorney wasn't immediately returned Tuesday.
The verdict is a rare one for a program that has seen other lawsuits. Longtime host Bob Barker, who retired in 2007, was sued by some of the show's hostesses for sexual harassment and wrongful termination.

Most of the cases involving "Barker's Beauties" — the nickname given the gown-wearing women who presented prizes to contestants — ended with out-of-court settlements.

Girl fatally shot on school bus

Girl fatally shot on school bus, A South Florida teen charged with fatally shooting a girl while riding a school bus will remain in a juvenile detention center.

The 15-year-old waived his right to appear in court Wednesday morning. He’s not being identified by The Associated Press because of his age.

An arrest report says the minor took a gun from his backpack Tuesday and began displaying it on the bus. He then fired it once, hitting 13-year-old Lourdes Guzman. She died at the hospital.

The boy is charged with manslaughter and carrying a concealed firearm. A Police spokeswoman says “it appears to have been an accident.”

The victim’s mother said in a statement that Jina, as she was known to her friends and family, was a “fun, loving, helpful, a happy girl.”

Prince William personal photos

Prince William personal photos, It's not often we have access to private photos from the royal family when the release of which isn't immediately followed by an international scandal or a lawsuit.

But here comes valiant Prince William to the rescue, as Kate Middleton's husband has rolled out his own personal photo diary online, chronicling "A Working Day in the Life of Flight Lieutenant Wales."

So, you know, just another day at the office. That is, if you're a pilot whose office happens to be the inside of a Search and Rescue Royal Air Force Sea King helicopter, that is. And the photos of which result in an almost national security breach.

As it happens, the day in the life shots were a bit too candid, and in the first batch of photos that appeared online, included images of the prince sitting at a computer with a document laid down on the desk next to him. Another had a computer in the back of the shot, with a password prompt screen open. Granted, they weren't the focus of the frames, but they did inadvertently reveal some potentially sensitive information and were quickly removed, resulting in the site temporarily being downed.

"Due to an administrative oversigh, these photographs were not properly cleared at RAF Valley and the images showed unclassified MoD user names, passwords and computer screens on a restricted system," a Ministry of Defense spokesman said."The passwords and user names shown have now been reset as a precaution and we are satisfied the images do not contravene security regulations. All the photos have now been amended and reissued."

In any case, along with the reissued photos, which show Wills in various states of professionalism at his base at RAF Valley in Anglesey, Wales, is a detailed account of how the duke spends his working days.

And, it turns out, it's not all danger and excitement, as evidenced by the shots of William making his bed (in what is admittedly a rather stark room) and brewing some tea.According to the duke's website, the new relaunch of which served as the occasion for the photo sharing, the pictures were taken during one of the royal's 24-hour shifts, details of which were also shared.

Each morning begins with a debriefing from the off-going crew, after which the incoming pilots are to be at something called "Readiness State 15"—that is, they need to be ready to fly out within 15 minutes of receiving an SAR call.

Each pilot, as well, is accountable for their own "kit," which means that the prince also has to regularly check the fuel, hydraulic and navigation systems of his 17-passenger capacity Sea King chopper. And, of course, while waiting to respond to calls, the crew takes part in training exercises and some good old-fashioned downtime.

So what does the future monarch do on his time off?
Apparently computer games like Call of Duty are a big hit with the men and women in service, including the four-person crew with which Wills flies.
Huh. Guess they really are like us after all—and we'll see for sure tomorrow, when Kate's personal photos are set to be released online.

Honey Boo Boo made of trash

Honey Boo Boo made of trash, Honey Boo Boo, a.k.a. Alana Thompson, has taken the world by storm with her TLC reality show,

“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”. Her family has become the topic of fascinated conversation since the show premiered, charming audiences with their unabashed Southern ways (see: Redneck Games) and compassion for gay rights, which to many seem contradictory.

But the family has also become a source of amusement and mockery for some, who deem the Thompsons “trashy” and unfit for television.

Perhaps because they’re doing exactly what they signed up to do–document their lives, warts and all–some critics are turned off.

But one artist has taken this commentary to the next level by creating a portrait of Alana using only trash which is inspired by the show: coupons, butter, Red Bull, tiaras, and dolls. The piece weighs over 25 pounds and has taken over the web in just a few short days, making the rounds on social networking sites.

Stalin's daughter revealed

Stalin's daughter revealed, Newly declassified documents show the FBI kept close tabs on Soviet dictator Josef Stalin's only daughter after her high profile defection to the United States in 1967,

gathering details from informants about how her arrival was affecting international relations.
The documents were released Monday to The Associated Press under the Freedom of Information Act following Lana Peters' death last year at age 85 in a Wisconsin nursing home. Her defection to the West during the Cold War embarrassed the ruling communists and made her a best-selling author. And her move was a public relations coup for the U.S.

One April 28, 1967, memo details a conversation with a confidential source who said the defection would have a "profound effect" for anyone else thinking of trying to leave the Soviet Union. The source claimed to have discussed the defection with a Czechoslovak journalist covering the United Nations and a member of the Czechoslovakia "Mission staff."

"Our source opined that the United States Government exhibited a high degree of maturity, dignity and understanding during this period," according to the memo, prominently marked "SECRET" at the top and bottom. "It cannot help but have a profound effect upon anyone who is considering a similar solution to an unsatisfactory life in a Soviet bloc country."

When she defected, Peters was known as Svetlana Alliluyeva, but she went by Lana Peters following her 1970 marriage to William Wesley Peters, an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright. Peters said her defection was partly motivated by the Soviet authorities' poor treatment of her late husband, Brijesh Singh, a prominent figure in the Indian Communist Party.

Another memo dated June 2, 1967, describes a conversation an unnamed FBI source had with Mikhail Trepykhalin, identified as the second secretary at the Soviet Embassy in Washington, D.C.
The source said Trepykhalin told him the Soviets were "very unhappy over her defection" and asked whether the U.S. would use it "for propaganda purposes." Trepykhalin "was afraid forces in the U.S. would use her to destroy relationships between the USSR and this country," the source told the FBI.

An unnamed informant in another secret memo from that month said Soviet authorities were not disturbed by the defection because it would "further discredit Stalin's name and family."
Stalin, a dictator held responsible for sending millions of his countrymen to their deaths in labor camps, led the Soviet Union from 1924 until his death in 1953. Stalin's successor, Nikita Khrushchev, denounced him three years later as a brutal despot.
And even though Peters denounced communism and her father's policies, Stalin's legacy haunted her in the United States.

"People say, 'Stalin's daughter, Stalin's daughter,' meaning I'm supposed to walk around with a rifle and shoot the Americans," she said in a 2007 interview for a documentary about her life. "Or they say, 'No, she came here. She is an American citizen.' That means I'm with a bomb against the others. No, I'm neither one. I'm somewhere in between."

Another FBI source, reporting on a 1968 May Day celebration in Moscow, said "the general feeling" is that she defected "because she was attracted by the material wealth in the United States."
George Kennan, a key figure in the Cold War and a former U.S. ambassador to the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, advised the FBI that he and Alliluyeva were concerned Soviet agents would try to contact her, a December 1967 memo reveals.

The memo notes that no security arrangements were made for Peters and no other documents in the file indicate that the KGB ever tracked her down.
Many of the 233 pages released to the AP were heavily redacted, with the FBI citing exemptions allowed under the law for concerns related to foreign policy, revealing confidential sources and releasing medical or other information that is a "clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy."
An additional 94 pages were found in her file but not released because the FBI said they contain information involving other government agencies. Those pages remain under government review.
More than half of the pages released to AP were copies of newspaper articles and other media coverage of her defection.

In one somewhat humorous exchange, a person whose name was redacted wrote directly to then-FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover asking that Hoover forward a letter on to "Joe Stalin's daughter." The author tells Hoover he can feel free to censor, alter or delete any portion of his letter to her as needed.

"I believe, Svetlana has given us (FREE NATIONS) the greatest opportunity to enlighten (and educate) the RUSSIAN people (and also those within the Communist controlled nations), as to what they are losing in continuing their impossible, or unacceptable present governmental system of Administration," the letter to Hoover said.

The file contains Hoover's terse three-sentence response denying his request, saying the FBI does not forward mail.

Flirtatious or offensive?

Flirtatious or offensive?, Baltimore Ravens receiver Jacoby Jones had another great game in his team's 13-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

His 63-yard punt return was the only touchdown the Ravens could come up with against Pittsburgh's typically impressive defense, and that was the follow-up to his 105-yard kick return against the Oakland Raiders in Week 10. There's no doubt that in Baltimore's injury-plagued (and now suspension-plagued) lineup, Jones has become one of his team's most important players.

However, Jones laid a major fumble after the game, when he was interviewed by NBC's Michele Tafoya. When Tafoya congratulated Jones on his performance, the receiver responded with a "Thank you, gorgeous" and a cheesy wink.

Tafoya laughed it off and went on with her work, but that's not the point. The point is that she shouldn't have to.

Maybe we're just in an era of political correctness that makes this seem strange. I would like to believe that we're actually in an era where there are enough women who have proven their worth as people who know a lot about football to not have to put up with stuff like this anymore.

The role of a sideline reporter is a secondary one at best, but Tafoya is a veteran and a pro who does a lot of different things in the medium, and she should expect to be treated with the same respect and regard any man would receive in a similar circumstance.

As Steve DelVecchio of Larry Brown Sports pointed out, it wasn't cool when Cam Newton recently referred to a female reporter as "Sweetheart" during a press conference, and this is no better. In fact, there are many work environments in which this would officially constitute harassment.
And by that professional definition, I think it qualifies. Tafoya can't take a shot back at Jones, because she's doing her job and continuing to interview players. She can't lose her cool, and she didn't. Full marks to her for her professionalism, and a failing grade to Jacoby Jones for not realizing the situation he put Tafoya in.

What if O.J. didn't do it?

What if O.J. didn't do it?, Is O.J. Simpson innocent of murder after all? An explosive new documentary suggests that he is.

In the film "My Brother the Serial Killer," set to air Wednesday on the Investigation Discovery network, Clay Rogers, the brother of convicted serial killer Glen Rogers, claims Glen murdered Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman—the pair Simpson was accused—and controversially acquitted—of slaying in 1995.

Glen Rogers was arrested in November 1995—a month after Simpson was found not guilty—in Kentucky "after leading police on a high-speed chase in a car that belonged to a Florida woman believed to be the third victim in a vicious, cross-country killing spree that began in Van Nuys," Calif., seven weeks before. He was convicted and sentenced to death in both California and Florida and is currently sitting on death row in the Sunshine State, awaiting execution.
According to Clay Rogers, Glen bragged to him about killing more than 70 people. (Glen later said the claim was a joke.) And Clay says Glen told him he had been "partying" with Brown Simpson prior to her June 12, 1994, killing.

According to the documentary, O.J. Simpson knew Glen—who was working as a house painter near Brown Simpson's Brentwood home at the time of the murders—and had paid him to steal a pair of $20,000 earrings he had given her. According to Clay, Glen boasted he was going to "take her down" and said that O.J. told him to kill "the bitch" if necessary.

The documentary culls new details from interviews with police and family members and appears to rely on a pair of books about Rogers: Clifford Linedecker's "Smooth Operator" and Joyce Spizer's "The Cross Country Killer." (Glen Rogers, though, does not appear, nor does Simpson.)
After the murders of Brown Simpson and Goldman, Glen embarked on his cross-country killing spree. Clay turned his brother in after discovering the decomposed corpse of Glen's 73-year-old former roommate at the family's cabin.

"I wasn't turning in my brother," Clay Rogers said. "I was turning in a serial killer."
Following his conviction, Glen admitted to the Goldman-Brown Simpson slayings in interviews from prison, Clay said.
But Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman and a constant figure throughout Simpson's trials, isn't buying it.

"O.J. Simpson murdered Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman," Fred Goldman said in a statement Monday. "The criminal trial showed overwhelming and monumental evidence that O.J. Simpson was the killer. There was no contrary evidence other than guess, innuendo, and rumor. The fact of the acquittal at the hands of the jury will never wash away this murder from the hands of O.J. Simpson, no matter how many Glen Rogers pop up on the media radar screen."

In 1997, a jury in Simpson's civil trial found him liable in the death of Goldman and battery of Brown Simpson.
In 2006, a book by Simpson—"If I Did It"—was set to be published by HarperCollins' ReganBooks, but the "hypothetical confessional" was subsequently canceled following a public outcry.
In 2007, Simpson was arrested in Las Vegas, charged with armed robbery and kidnapping. In 2008, he was found guilty and sentenced to 33 years in prison in Nevada, where he is currently serving his sentence.

Moss's $1.6 million tattoo

Moss's $1.6 million tattoo, There's no doubt that Kate Moss is worth millions of dollars. But what's news is that at least $1.6 million of it may be inked onto her lower back.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the super-skinny supermodel talked about her insecurities ("I hated my boobs!" she says), her paycheck (she still makes up to $400,000 for a day's work), and her breakup with actor Johnny Depp ("Nightmare. Years and years of crying"). And she also revealed that some of her body art was drawn on by the legendary German-born British painter Lucian Freud.

The 38-year-old fashion icon was pregnant with her daughter, Lila, when she met Freud in 2002. After telling a British magazine that the painter was the person she'd most love to meet, she got a call from his daughter, Bella Freud, saying, "My dad wants to meet you."

Kate Moss and Other Celebs Without Makeup  She went to Freud's house for dinner, and he started painting her portrait that night. "Naked Portrait 2002" shows Moss nude and heavily pregnant, reclining against a pillow; though the artist later described it as "disappointing," it became one of his most well-known works.

But the famous painter's art wasn't restricted to canvas. "He told me about when he was in the Navy, when he was 19 or something, and he used to do all of the tattoos for the sailors," Moss told Vanity Fair. "And I went, 'Oh, my God, that's amazing.' And he went, 'I can do you one. What would you like?' I was like, 'Really?' "

"He said, 'Would you like creatures of the animal kingdom?' I said, 'I like birds.' And he said, 'I've done birds. I've got it in my book.' And he pointed at a painting of a chicken upside down in a bucket," Moss continued. "And I said, 'No, I'm not having that.' And then he said, 'Maybe I should just do you.' I thought, I'm not going to have a girl on my … So we decided to do a flock of birds." The flock turned into two pretty little creatures, one on either side of her spine, just above her backside. You might not have noticed it on the runway, but it's clearly visible in bikini shots taken by paparazzi on boats and at the beach.

"Lucian was always really kind," she said. "I adored him." The birds are a permanent reminder of her famous friend, who died in July 2011.

Freud's painting of Moss sold for 3.9 million British pounds -- about $6.25 million -- in 2005. So it's not that much of a stretch to guess that the two little birds on Moss's lower back would be worth $1.6 million or more.

"I mean, it's an original Lucian Freud," Moss told Vanity Fair. "I wonder how much a collector would pay for that? A few million? I'd skin-graft it."

Most affordable U.S. cities

Most affordable U.S. cities, The Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) has released its third-quarter data for 2012, in which they rank 304 urban areas according to average local costs.

Among the components were: food items, home purchase or rental, clothing, utilities, services, health care, and other expenses.
Not much has changed on the top of the list in the last few quarters' reports: New York City still holds down the most expensive spot at 229.6 — more than twice the national average cost of living. Brooklyn again took second place at 180.2.

Yet down the list where the least expensive cities are, there is more turnover. Here's a countdown of the top five most affordable urban areas, including some of the cheapest products they offer.
Memphis has a rich musical heritage and is the city Elvis Presley called home. But you don’t have to be a rock star to live there — the average cost to buy your own Graceland (albeit smaller and probably with less carpeting on the walls) is the lowest of all these top 10 urban areas. The cost of living is 85.6 percent of the national average.

In Memphis, you can get these things for relatively cheap:
New Home Price: $192,914
Optometrist: $73.29
Canola Oil (48 ounces): $2.90
Pueblo is a semi-arid desert city in the Rocky Mountains and is one of the top steel producers in the country. The cost of living is 85.1 percent of the national average.
Pueblo's cheapest prices include:
A visit to the dentist: $67.19

Movie (new release, Saturday night): $8.50
Midway between Oklahoma City and Dallas, Ardmore has major employers like Michelin, Mercy Memorial Health Center, and Valero Refinery. The cost of living in this south central Oklahoman oasis is about 84.2 percent of the national average.
Feast your eyes on Ardmore's cheap pricing for the following:
Parmesan (8-ounce canister): $3.14
Coca-Cola (2 liters): $1.21

Phone (private residential line): $20.50/month
Dry Cleaning (men's suit): $7.16
Located just 20 miles south of Oklahoma City, Norman is the state’s third-largest city and home to the National Weather Center. The cost of living is 80.9 percent of the national average.
Norman also offers near rock-bottom prices for the following:
Hamburger (McDonald's Quarter Pounder): $3.25
Shampoo (15 oz. bottle): $0.80

Newspaper (daily and Sunday subscription): $9.00/year
Beer (six-pack of Heineken's): $7.63
Harlingen is designated a Certified Retirement Community, and it's a year-round destination for those fleeing colder climates. It’s in the southernmost part of Texas (not far from the No. 6 least-expensive urban area, McAllen). Its standard is 79.5 percent of the national average.
Harlingen's claim to cheap pricing includes the following:
T-Bone Steak: $8.31/pound
Ground Beef: $2.55/pound
Sausage (1 pound): $3.00
Chicken (whole uncut): $0.79/pound
Tomatoes: $1.95/pound
Sandwich: $3.31
Washing Machine Repair (home service call): $39.38/hour

Danica Patrick Divorce

Danica Patrick Divorce, Danica Patrick and her husband are divorcing after seven years of marriage.

Patrick announced the split with Paul Hospenthal on her Facebook page Tuesday. “I am sad to inform my fans that after seven years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage,” she said. “This isn’t easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this. He has been an important person and friend in my life and that’s how we will remain moving forward.”

Hospenthal is a physical therapist who met Patrick while treating her for a non-racing injury. The two were married in 2005, and he is 17 years older than the 30-year-old driver.

Patrick just completed her first full season in NASCAR, running the full Nationwide schedule and 10 Sprint Cup Series races after leaving IndyCar.

Earlier this month, Patrick had her best finish in nine Cup starts this season, finishing 24th at Texas and running every lap for the first time. Tony Gibson was Ryan Newman’s crew chief for Stewart-Haas Racing, but is moving to Patrick’s team next season. They got a head start with her final two races this season and she finished 10th in Nationwide points, becoming the highest-finishing female driver in the history of NASCAR’s three national series. The previous record was held by Sara Christian, who finished 13th in 1949 in the Cup series.

On Monday night, Patrick won the Nationwide Series’ most popular driver award, which is voted on by fans, and she remains one of the most recognizable drivers in auto racing. Patrick challenged for the Indy 500 win as a rookie, becoming the first woman to lead laps while finishing fourth. She was a career-best third in 2009.

There was speculation that her appeal with advertisers had waned, but earlier this month Go Daddy said Patrick will again appear in the website domain provider’s commercials during the Super Bowl next year. Patrick and Go Daddy first teamed up when the company became an associate sponsor for her IndyCar in 2007. Go Daddy became the primary IndyCar sponsor in 2010, along with a partial NASCAR schedule, and followed her for the full Nationwide Series and limited Sprint Cup schedules this year.

Go Daddy has committed to sponsor the Cup schedule next season, when Patrick moves up to NASCAR’s top level on a full-time basis.

Willis Mcgahee Serious Injury

Willis Mcgahee Serious Injury, Happy 26th birthday to former University of Miami and current Baltimore Ravens running back Willis McGahee. McGahee has overcome two serious knee injuries to become one of the NFL's most productive and highly paid running backs.

His 2002 season at UM is arguably the greatest individual season ever by a UM offensive player the best ever by a Canes running back.

Born Willis Andrew McGahee in Miami, he came from an athletic family. His father Willis Sr. was great high school player at both all-black George Washington Carver and Mays High Schools during segregation.

The elder McGahee was a two-time Miami Herald All-City selection as a defensive lineman while playing for legendary high school coach Nathaniel "Traz" Powell and later played college ball at Texas Southern University. Those athletic gifts were passed down to his son Willis Jr.

The younger McGahee was destined to be a football star. He began his high school career at Miami Springs High School where he played for longtime coach Buddy Goins. When McGahee was in the 9th grade, Goins ran into then UM running backs coach

Don Soldinger and told him McGahee is the best running back talent he ever saw come out of Dade County. Soldinger never forgot the conversation. He kept track of McGahee throughout his prep career. By his junior year, McGahee had established himself as one of the premier backs in the state. He rushed for 1004 yards, averaging 8.5 per carry, and scored 15 times. He did this despite missing a few games due to injury and earned second team All-Dade County from the Miami Herald.

McGahee transferred to Miami Central High School his senior year where he played for Tim "Ice" Harris. He was hyped as the best running back prospect in the state and one of the best in the country. In his first five games, McGahee lived up to the hype rushing for 677 yards, 11 touchdown and averaged 8.8 yards per carry. But he suffered a season ending knee injury. Despite the injury, college recruiters didn't back off. He was named 3rd Team All Dade County by the Miami Herald and named to the prestigious Parade All American team and Gatorade Florida Player of the Year.

Recruited heavily by Florida, Florida State and Ohio State, McGahee chose to stay home and play for the Canes. He sat out his freshman year while redshirting to rehab his knee injury. McGahee saw his first action in 2001 while playing behind Clinton Portis and fellow freshman Frank Gore. He started his first game in the 2002 Rose Bowl against Nebraska at fullback and helped the Canes win the national championship.

When Portis left UM for the NFL and Gore suffered a season ending knee injury in spring practice, McGahee was given the starting tailback job and ran away with it. In 2002 McGahee gained 1,753 yards and scored 28 touchdowns--both UM records. He finished 4th in the Heisman Trophy voting. He led the Canes to another undefeated regular season and a trip to the Fiesta Bowl to play Ohio State for the national championship.

Heavily favored, the top ranked Canes struggled offensively against the Buckeyes. McGahee was held in check until he scored on 9 yard touchdown run to cut Ohio State's lead to 17-14 in the third quarter. But early in the 4th quarter McGahee suffered a devastating knee injury that forced him to leave the game. Miami eventually lost 31-24 in double overtime due to a controversial pass interference penalty that allowed Ohio State to stay in the game.

Despite the injury, McGahee's agent Drew Rosenhaus used some shrewd maneuvering to convince NFL teams his client was first round worthy. The Buffalo Bills selected McGahee with the 23 pick of the 2003 NFL Draft. After sitting out the 2003 season, McGahee made a strong comeback with the Bills in 2004 rushing for 1,128 yards and 13 touchdowns. He followed that year with a solid 1,247 yards in 2005. After struggling in 2006 with only 990 yards, McGahee signed a 7-year contract worth $40.12 million with the Ravens.

Ryan Gosling Poster

Ryan Gosling Poster, His chiselled good looks and buff physique have earned him an army of fans across the globe.

But a disturbing new teaser poster from Ryan Gosling's upcoming movie, Only God Forgives, will no doubt have women the world over more than a little concerned that the handsome chap they know and love has gone forever.

With his face transformed into a beaten and bloodied mess, the 32-year-old actor is virtually unrecognisable thanks to his swollen and distorted features.

However, fans - and Ryan's girlfriend Eva Mendes - are likely to be thrilled that the Hollywood hunk's terrifying-looking injuries were merely in the name of his art.

In Only God Forgives, the star portrays ex-boxer-turned-gangster Julian, who fights a Bangkok police lieutenant to avenge the death of his brother.

Kristin Scott Thomas plays the mobster's mother Jenna, who forces him to find and kill the person responsible for his sibling's death.

Ryan is said to have undergone strenuous Muay Thai boxing training for the role, with make-up giving him a helping hand with what appeared to be a prosthetic swollen nose.

The actor stars alongside Kristin Scott Thomas in the crime thriller, which was shot on location in Thailand.

Ryan has previously admitted the upcoming movie is 'the strangest thing I've ever read and it's only going to get stranger.'

Written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn - who worked with Ryan on Drive - the film is scheduled for relase in March 2013.
In addition to Only God Forgives, the actor also has Gangster Squad set to hit the big screen early next year.

Bionic Mannequins Spy

Bionic Mannequins Spy, Benetton Group SpA is among fashion brands deploying mannequins equipped with technology used to identify criminals at airports to watch over shoppers in their stores.

Retailers are introducing the EyeSee, sold by Italian mannequin maker Almax SpA, to glean data on customers much as online merchants are able to do. The 4,000-euro ($5,072) device has spurred shops to adjust window displays, store layouts and promotions to keep consumers walking in the door and spending.

“It’s spooky,” said Luca Solca, head of luxury goods research at Exane BNP Paribas in London. “You wouldn’t expect a mannequin to be observing you.”

The EyeSee looks ordinary enough on the outside, with its slender polystyrene frame, blank face and improbable pose. Inside, it’s no dummy. A camera embedded in one eye feeds data into facial-recognition software like that used by police. It logs the age, gender, and race of passers-by.

Demand for the device shows how retailers are turning to technology to help personalize their offers as growth slows in the $245 billion luxury goods industry. Bain & Co. predicts the luxury market will expand 5 percent in 2012, less than half last year’s rate.

“Any software that can help profile people while keeping their identities anonymous is fantastic,” said Uché Okonkwo, executive director of consultant Luxe Corp. It “could really enhance the shopping experience, the product assortment, and help brands better understand their customers.”

Eye-Level
While some stores deploy similar technology to watch shoppers from overhead security cameras, the EyeSee provides better data because it stands at eye level and invites customer attention, Almax contends.

The mannequin, which went on sale last December and is now being used in three European countries and the U.S., has led one outlet to adjust its window displays after revealing that men who shopped in the first two days of a sale spent more than women, according to Almax.

A clothier introduced a children’s line after the dummy showed that kids made up more than half its mid-afternoon traffic, the company says. Another store found that a third of visitors using one of its doors after 4 p.m. were Asian, prompting it to place Chinese-speaking staff by that entrance.

‘Changing Landscape’
A spokesman for Benetton declined to elaborate on where or why the clothier is using the EyeSee.

Max Catanese, chief executive officer of the 40-year-old mannequin maker, declined to name clients, citing confidentiality agreements. Five companies, including leading fashion brands, are using a total of “a few dozen” of the mannequins with orders for at least that many more, he says.

Burberry Group Plc (BRBY) and Nordstrom Inc. (JWN) are among retailers that say they aren’t on the list. Even so, they are helping blur the line between the physical shopping experience and Web retailing by setting up WiFi, iPads and video screens at their outlets to better engage shoppers.

Nordstrom, a U.S. chain of more than 100 department stores, says facial-recognition software may go a step too far.

“It’s a changing landscape but we’re always going to be sensitive about respecting the customer’s boundaries,” said spokesman Colin Johnson.

No Choice
Others say profiling customers raises legal and ethical issues. U.S. and European Union regulations permit the use of cameras for security purposes, though retailers need to put up signs in their stores warning customers they may be filmed. Watching people solely for commercial gain may break the rules and could be viewed as gathering personal data without consent, says Christopher Mesnooh, a partner at law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse in Paris.

“If you go on Facebook, before you start the registration process, you can see exactly what information they are going to collect and what they’re going to do with it,” said Mesnooh. “If you’re walking into a store, where’s the choice?”

So far Almax hasn’t faced obstacles to selling the dummy, CEO Catanese said. Since the EyeSee doesn’t store any images, retailers can use it as long as they have a closed-circuit television license, he said.

Some clients have asked for the Eyesee to be rigged to recognize employees so they don’t muddy the picture of customer behavior. In those cases, workers have to agree to be filmed, says Catanese. That option may be extended to shoppers, where loyal spenders would be invited to opt-in in return for rewards, he said.

Not Deaf
“The retail community is starting to get wise to the opportunity around personalization,” said Lorna Hall, retail editor at fashion forecaster WGSN. “The golden ticket is getting to the point where they’ve got my details, they know what I bought last time I came in.”

To give the EyeSee ears as well as eyes, Almax is testing technology that recognizes words to allow retailers to eavesdrop on what shoppers say about the mannequin’s attire. Catanese says the company also plans to add screens next to the dummies to prompt customers about products relevant to their profile, much like cookies and pop-up ads on a website.

Too much sophistication could backfire, says Hall, because it’s a fine line between technology that helps and technology that irks.

A promotional prompt or a reminder about where to find women’s shoes “could become a digital version of a very pushy sales assistant,” she said. “And we all know how we feel about those.”

Son Sorry For Hollywood Blacklist

Son Sorry For Hollywood Blacklist, The son of The Hollywood Reporter founder Billy Wilkerson has apologised for both his father's and the trade paper's role in the 1947 blacklist that destroyed the careers of writers, actors and directors accused of having communist ties.

In an article published by The Hollywood Reporter, Willie Wilkerson, 61, called the blacklist era "Hollywood's Holocaust" and said: "On the eve of this dark 65th anniversary, I feel an apology is necessary."

He says his father supported the Hollywood Blacklist to exact revenge against the titans he felt denied him entry to their club when he wanted to establish a film studio in the late 1920s.

Billy Wilkerson founded The Hollywood Reporter in 1930 and after the Second World War, used the paper as a vehicle for a series of editorials attacking communist sympathisers and their influence in Hollywood.

"In his maniacal quest to annihilate the studio owners, he realised that the most effective retaliation was to destroy their talent," Willie Wilkerson wrote. "In the wake of this emerging hysteria surrounding communism, the easiest way to crush the studio owners was to simply call their actors, writers and directors communists.

Unfortunately, they would become the collateral damage of history. Apart from being charged with contempt, for refusing to name names, none of these individuals committed any crimes."

Studios dominated the industry and denied work to those named on the blacklist. Some writers worked under pseudonyms. Many actors and their families moved overseas to look for work. The Hollywood Reporter named names and ceaselessly covered the issue.

The publication also details its role in the blacklist era for the first time in the lengthy article published on Monday. "Any man or woman who, under the guise of freedom of speech, or the cloak of the

Bill of Rights, or under the pseudo protection of being a liberal, says things, causes things to be said, or who actually is involved with many of the conspiracies that have now infested this great land of ours, has no place among us, be he commie or what," Billy Wilkerson wrote on November 5 1947. "He or she should be rushed out of our business."

The first Hollywood Blacklist was published on November 25 1947.

Willie Wilkerson says it is possible that his father would have apologised for "creating something that devastated so many careers" had he lived long enough. He died in 1962, two years after the blacklist was broken.

His son wrote: "On behalf of my family, and particularly my late father, I wish to convey my sincerest apologies and deepest regrets to those who were victimised by this unfortunate incident."

Miami Bus Shooting

Miami Bus Shooting, A 13-year-old girl was tragically shot to death in front of her younger sister and seven other children while riding a school bus Miami-Dade Police said today.

The girl, whose identity has not been released was flown to Miami Children's Hospital after reportedly receiving a wound to her neck where she later died. She was a student at the Palm Glades Preparatory Academy charter school.

Police have said a male student has been taken into custody but authorities did not release his name or age and said they are still interviewing him. A gun was also recovered at the scene in Homestead, south of Miami.'We still don't know what the motive may have been,' said police spokesman Detective Alvaro Zabaleta.

Eight other children, including the victim's 7-year-old sister, were on the bus but were not harmed. Authorities took the children and the bus driver to a police station to be interviewed. The shooting happened right after the intersection of Southwest 296 Street and 137 Avenue, around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday.

'Officers responded and that's when they discovered that there was a 13-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound,' said Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta.
'They were immediately able to determine that the subject or the shots came within the bus and he was able to be detained and taken into custody.'

Concerned parents gathered at the scene, which was cordoned off by crime scene tape as authorities combed the bus for evidence and gathered children's backpacks and belongings.
'Thank God, none of the other children, approximately eight of them, they were not hurt,' said Zabaleta.

Authorities add that all of the parents of the children involved in the shooting had been notified.
'If you have not received a phone call from any of the investigators, you're child is not involved in this incident, your child is safe,' said Zabaleta.

Zabaleta also reassured parents of the schools involved that no further incidents was expected.
'We made contact with all of the schools, everything is fine and none of them have been placed on shut down, so everything is OK, no need for panic,' he said.
Grief counselors have spent the morning at charter school, said Lynn Norman-Teck, a spokeswoman for Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools.
The school principal also walked through every classroom Tuesday morning to make sure the students were safe.
A phone message left for the private school bus company was not immediately returned.

Kutcher Kunis Rome

Kutcher Kunis Rome, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have enjoyed a romantic break in Rome.

The couple - who initially denied being together before being seen in a number of romantic trysts - enjoyed a visit to the city while the Black Swan actress is in the Italian capital shooting The Third Person, and they have taken in local speciality dishes and gone on strolls to see the sights.

At the Antica Pesa restaurant on Sunday (18.11.12), the pair enjoyed Parma ham crudo and mozzarella, mini-beef sliders, pasta with chickpeas and a salad with marinated anchovies.

They also enjoyed a calorific dessert composed of pastry, ice cream and berries.

Ashton and Mila - who first worked together on That 70s Show - have also recently enjoyed trips to Australia and Japan following the demise of his marriage to Demi Moore in 2011.

It was recently revealed the 29-year-old actress has impressed Ashton's friends with her down-to-earth attitude.

A source said: "Mila is such a nice girl and extremely down-to-earth. Everyone on Ashton's team is happy for them. She is very laidback and low maintenance."

Human Barbie fake

Human Barbie fake, Is the "Human Barbie" fake? According to a Nov. 20 Inquisitr report, Valeria Lukyanova may not be as real as she previously claimed.

Earlier, the Ukranian model claimed that she has never had plastic surgery, and that she does not alter her photos with Photoshop. However, there is a new video that has surfaced that shows that the "Human Barbie" may be fake.

Side by side comparisons of Lukyanova's pictures and a still from a video featuring her show a very different looking woman. The picture seems obviously enhanced with Photoshop.

In addition to Photoshop claims, critics of the "Human Barbie" claim that she has also had extensive plastic surgery to achieve her doll-like look. The Dirty also claims she could be mentally insane, which is not a huge surprise given the fact that she is trying to live her life as a Barbie doll. That is certainly strange if not insane.

Romney Pumping Gas la Jolla

Romney Pumping Gas la Jolla, Mitt Romney pumping gas? We never thought we'd see the day when the Republican presidential candidate and millionaire businesman was reduced to refueling his own car after spending the past few months jetting around the country.

Now, thanks to Reddit and one user calling themselves mkb95 we have this photo as evidence. The photo of Romney pumping gas in California was posted to Reddit yesterday with the titled "Mitt Romney at my local gas station.. he looks tired and washed up," and quickly rose to the coveted number one spot on the site's front page. The story of Romney at the pump was also confirmed on Twitter.

The Redditor did a lot more than snap a quick picture of Romney. In the comments of his photo, mkb95 describes a brief conversation with the former presidential candidate.

"I talked to him for a good three minutes while he was filling his tank," the Redditor wrote. "I guess he's moving to one of his houses in the town I live in, La Jolla."

Romney reportedly owns a $12 million home in the wealthy suburb.

Other Redditors were quick to jump in and point out the obvious irony.

"It is pretty amazing that in such a short period of time you can go from missing becoming the leader of one of the most powerful countries in the world by a couple % to pumping your own gas like everyone else," wrote a user calling themself agwayclerk.

"Not that he couldn't afford to have someone else do it but imagine Obama just casually strolling around a gas station by himself at night getting gas and a couple twinkies."

"Yeah, the dude lost the presidency," another Redditor joked. "Leave him alone for a little while. He needs some time to wipe his tears with piles of money."

"Taking jobs away from hardworking American gas station attendants. B*st*rd," another ribbed.

It's not too shocking to see that post election Romney is looking slightly worse for wear. Not only did he run a non-stop campaign for months, but now he's being blamed by his party and has practically already been shoved at the door of the Republican party clubhouse.

"C'mon man. Like him or not, the entire f---ing Republican party is trying to pin their woes, faults, and inefficiencies on him," argued one Redditor. "Combine that with being somewhat unlikable in the first place, and he just becomes the ultimate scapegoat- pretty much everyone hates him right now, even those of whom he considered his peers and allies. That's gotta be taking a toll."

Monkey Death Arrest

Monkey Death Arrest, Police have arrested one of two men who they believe broke into an Idaho zoo the night a monkey there died from blunt-force trauma, but questions remain about how and why the animal was killed.

Michael J. Watkins, 22, of Weiser was arrested Monday in Washington County on felony burglary and grand theft charges.

A tip from a citizen led police to Watkins after identifying a hat found in the monkey's enclosure as similar to one Watkins was wearing the night two intruders were spotted at Zoo Boise.

A security guard frightened away the intruders, then discovered the gravely injured patas monkey, which died a short time later.Masterson said at a news conference Monday evening that Watkins sought care at a hospital for injuries to his upper torso sometime after the early Saturday incident.

The story he gave to hospital staff "did not seem to mesh up with the injuries," Masterson said.

The monkey's death has left zoo workers shocked and devastated, zoo director Steve Burns said. The Crime Stoppers organization offered an award of up to $1,000 for information leading to the culprits' arrest.

Investigators had not had a chance to question Watkins extensively and have not revealed whether they think the zoo break-in was a prank that turned violent or something done with more sinister intent. But the police department and community are "angered and outraged over this senseless crime," Masterson said.

"The loss of this patas monkey has touched many lives, including our officers and investigators," he said.

The zoo doesn't have surveillance video. Instead, security guards patrol the grounds when the zoo is closed.

Burns said the guard who discovered the crime spotted one intruder inside the zoo and one outside the perimeter fence near the primate exhibit. Both men fled, with one running into the interior of the zoo.

Investigators believe Watkins is the man who was seen inside the fence.

Burns and police were searching the grounds when Burns heard a groan and found the injured monkey outside its exhibit, near the fence surrounding the zoo. They were able to get the animal into a crate and to the zoo's animal hospital, but the monkey died of blunt-force trauma to its head and neck just a few minutes later.

An inventory showed none of the other animals was missing or harmed.

Police say Watkins was visiting Boise with friends over the weekend from his home in Weiser, an agricultural town about 60 miles away near the Oregon-Idaho border.

Court records show Watkins has been in trouble with the law before, including drug arrests. Police said they do not know whether Watkins may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the break-in.

Officers have spoken with the other man spotted outside the zoo but do not expect charges to be filed against him, Masterson said.

Crimes at the zoo are rare, Burns said.

"I've been here for 15 years, and I don't remember any cases where we've had a visitor intentionally or even accidentally injure an animal," Burns said. "People in Boise are usually pretty respectful. We were just saying the other day that we can't even remember the last time that someone was found inside the zoo after hours. The security guards do a really good job."

Burns said it will take a few weeks before he can decide if the remaining patas monkey will be sent to another zoo or if another patas monkey will be brought in as a companion. The animals are social and need to be around members of their own species.

The crime may have raised interest in the patas monkeys. A donation for the remaining patas monkey under the zoo's adopt-an-animal program came in over the weekend, Burns said.

The monkey exhibit remains open to the public, although zoo workers were keeping some of the larger garage-sized doors to the exhibit closed to keep down noise, and keepers were giving the remaining patas monkey a little more attention, Burns said. The zoo kicked off a fundraiser to build a new exhibit house for the primates in September.

"That primate house was built back in the 1960s and it's just time to update it and provide the animals with more space and things like that," he said.

For now, he said, zoo workers are just focusing on caring for the remaining 300 animals at the zoo.

"We're going to grieve for the animal and make sure the community's OK. But we're going to move on with the plans that we have and continue to take care of the animals. Boise's a really nice place to live, and usually this kind of stuff doesn't happen in Boise," he said.

Ohio State Petition

Ohio State Petition, Petition for reinstatement to the university - Students who have been academically dismissed from the university can petition for reinstatement.

Reinstatement is not guaranteed, and simple desire to return is not sufficient support for a petition. Petitioning students need to prove (not merely assert) they are now ready to succeed if they are allowed to return to the university and resume course work.

It is advisable to take academic course work at another institution during your time away from Ohio State, to demonstrate that you are capable of succeeding in high-quality college-level work. Students who have been dismissed from the university and have been away from the university for at least five years may want to petition to use Fresh Start.

What is Fresh Start? - If you have not been enrolled at the university for five or more years, you may petition to return under the provisions of the Fresh Start Rule. While all courses you have taken will remain on your permanent record, only courses in which you received a C- or higher will be counted for credit.

Other course work will not be counted for credit, towards any requirement, or toward graduation. You will return to Ohio State with a recalculated cumulative GPA of 0.00. You must complete a minimum of two terms and 30 credit hours after using the Fresh Start Rule before you can be eligible to graduate.

Keep in mind that if you are considering applying to graduate or professional schools, or even to other undergraduate programs at Ohio State, their admission processes may look at all of your grades and recalculate the original grade(s) into your total.

Each college will have its own formal process for submitting a petition, reaching a decision, and notifying the student. It is important that you consult with your advisor so that you understand the process as well as what is involved in preparing an effective petition. Under most circumstances, students cannot be reinstated into University Exploration.

As part of their time away from Ohio State, students are encouraged to choose an attainable major of interest. Reinstatement petitions should be discussed with the college that offers the major you intend to pursue.A statement based on the guidelines and/or questions presented to you by the college you are petitioning.

You might consider asking for the e-mail address of the advisor you are scheduled to meet with, so you can inquire about this information.
Unofficial transcript from another university/college — if you took courses during your hiatus. Some colleges might want an official transcript; it is a good idea to ask before your appointment.

Any other supporting documentation you feel will help your case. For example, a letter from an instructor, medical professional, and/or employeer, etc.

Obama Chinese

Obama Chinese, President Barack Obama blocked on Friday a privately owned Chinese company from building wind turbines close to a Navy military site in Oregon due to national security concerns, and the company said it would challenge the action in court.

The rare presidential order to divest interests in the wind farms comes as Obama campaigns for a second term against Republican Mitt Romney, who has accused him of being soft on China.

Ralls Corp, which had been installing wind turbine generators made in China by Sany Group, has four wind farm projects that are within or in the vicinity of restricted air space at a naval weapons systems training facility, according to the Obama administration.

"There is credible evidence that leads me to believe" that Ralls Corp, Sany Group and the two Sany Group executives who own Ralls "might take action that threatens to impair the national security of the United States," Obama said in issuing his decision.

Ralls Corp had filed a lawsuit against the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) for ordering it to stop all construction and operations at its projects while the government panel completed its investigation and finalized its recommendation to Obama.

After the decision was announced on Friday, the company said it was confident that the courts would vindicate Ralls Corp's rights under the law and the Constitution.

Although CFIUS reviews dozens of foreign investment deals for potential national security concerns every year, the president is rarely called upon to issue a formal order as companies usually abandon their deals or divest assets when the panel takes issue with their transaction.

The last time a president formally blocked a deal on national security grounds was in 1990 when then President George H.W. Bush stopped a Chinese aero-technology company from acquiring a U.S. manufacturing firm.

"This is a big deal because it is the first time since 1990 that the president of the United States has either blocked a transaction from occurring or divested a transaction that has occurred," said Clay Lowery, a former assistant secretary at Treasury who oversaw the CFIUS process and now is with Rock Creek Global Advisors.

Ralls Corp had hired the George W. Bush administration's top lawyer Paul Clement to help represent the company as well as a former U.S. assistant attorney general, Viet Dinh, who helped the Republican administration develop the Patriot Act. But that appeared to do little to convince the current administration to allow the company to resume operations.

The presidential order gives the Chinese company 90 days to divest all its interests in the projects. However, sources close to Ralls Corp said the company was still evaluating the order and had no immediate plan to unwind its activities.

Only one of the four wind farms was in restricted airspace and CFIUS never came up with a plan that would require the company to only divest interests in that particular project, the sources said.

In addition, the sources said there are other wind farms in the same area that are also operated by foreigners, albeit one company is from Denmark and the other from Germany.Obama's decision comes as two other Chinese companies are vying for CFIUS approval.

The Treasury Department stressed that Obama's decision was not a precedent for other investments from China or any other country. Acting Commerce Secretary Rebecca Blank said the United States generally welcomed investment from China but not in every case.

"Particularly when you're talking about China, but there's other countries where this is true too, one has to be worried about national security concerns," Blank said in remarks at the Council on Foreign Relations earlier on Friday.

China's state-owned oil company CNOOC Ltd is trying to buy Canada's Nexen in a $15.1 billion deal and Chinese auto parts company Wanxiang Group Corp is about to takeover U.S. battery maker A123 Systems Inc. Both Chinese firms are waiting for the government panel's decision and CFIUS experts see the Ralls case as a one-off decision.

"There have been many Chinese investments in the U.S. that have gone through without trouble," said Benjamin Powell, a former general counsel to the director of national intelligence who is now a partner at Wilmer Hale.

HP Autonomy Fraud

HP Autonomy Fraud, Hewlett-Packard's bombshell revelation that it would take an $8.8 billion non-cash writedown after allegedly discovering major accounting fraud related to its Autonomy business unit has rocked the tech world.

But the news, while shocking, could have both positive and negative results, according to who or what's involved. Here's a look at the winners and losers emerging from the rubble of HP's explosive announcement.
The Winners

Meg Whitman: While HP's announcement bore little good news for the company's bottom line, there's a chance it could end up helping CEO Meg Whitman's image.

"The silver lining here could be her willingness to take a very realistic but also gutsy stand and call a spade a spade here," said analyst Charles King, president of Pund-IT. "I think that will improve her image or at least provide some cover for the additional time and effort she needs to put into the company."

"Most of the issues confronting HP happened way before her watch," King added. "She has the unenviable job of cleaning out the stables."

Larry Ellison: Somewhere inside one of his many luxurious residences, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison may be rubbing his hands together and cackling with glee at HP's announcement.

There's famously little love lost between the two companies, especially after the ugly legal battle over Oracle's ultimately unsuccessful attempt to stop porting its software to the Itanium-based chips used in HP's high-end servers.

But there's also history between Oracle and Ellison regarding Autonomy and its founder, Mike Lynch. Last year, Oracle claimed that Lynch had shopped his company to Oracle before the HP deal, but Oracle rejected it on grounds Autonomy was overvalued. Lynch denied approaching Oracle, prompting Oracle to issue a statement calling Lynch a liar.

Autonomy's competitors: The bad publicity around Autonomy may lead potential customers to seek less turbulent waters. "There have already been quite a few sharks feasting around the Autonomy whale," said analyst Tony Byrne, president of the Real Story Group. These competitors include OpenText, Microsoft, IBM, and in the area of search technology, the open source ecosystem supporting the Lucene search engine, Byrne said.

The Losers

HP Shareholders: HP's stock fell more than 10 percent on Tuesday after the announcement, dropping to less than $12. It had traded close to $30 as recently as February.

Leo Apotheker: If ex-HP CEO Leo Apotheker decides to seek shelter in an undisclosed location, you could hardly blame him. A former CEO of SAP, Apotheker was seen as a surprise pick to lead HP from the start, and after a series of miscalculations, his reign ended quickly.

Jackie Chan Action Movies

Jackie Chan Action Movies, Jackie Chan is officially retiring from action movies. Chan's upcoming film, "Chinese Zodiac 2012," will be his last big action film, according to Reuters.

It’s a dilemma -- I like action but I don’t like violence.” He hopes to move his career in a different direction, adding, “For the last 10 years I have been making some other different movies.

Elmo Puppeteer Resigns

Elmo Puppeteer Resigns, Kevin Clash, the longtime voice and puppeteer behind Sesame Street’s Elmo character, has resigned in the aftermath of allegations that he had underage sexual relationships.

Mr. Clash was first accused last week of sexual improprieties by a 24-year-old man who later recanted. That man has remained anonymous.

On Tuesday, the gossip Web site TMZ reported that a second accuser, Cecil Singleton, has now filed a lawsuit in New York alleging that he had an underage sexual relationship with Mr. Clash almost a decade ago. The report could not immediately be verified.

Last week, Sesame Workshop said the first man’s accusations were unfounded. The organization did not have any immediate comment about the second man’s lawsuit on Tuesday. But in a statement, it said:

Sesame Workshop’s mission is to harness the educational power of media to help all children the world over reach their highest potential. Kevin Clash has helped us achieve that mission for 28 years, and none of us, especially Kevin, want anything to divert our attention from our focus on serving as a leading educational organization.

Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding Kevin’s personal life has become a distraction that none of us want, and he has concluded that he can no longer be effective in his job and has resigned from Sesame Street. This is a sad day for Sesame Street.
Mr. Clash said in his own statement on Tuesday:

“I am resigning from Sesame Workshop with a very heavy heart. I have loved every day of my 28 years working for this exceptional organization. Personal matters have diverted attention away from the important work Sesame Street is doing and I cannot allow it to go on any longer. I am deeply sorry to be leaving and am looking forward to resolving these personal matters privately.”

Mr. Clash has played Elmo on “Sesame Street” for decades. He was profiled in a documentary last year, “Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey.”

The sexual accusations made public last Monday, then recanted a day later, led to Mr. Clash coming out as a gay man, something he had not previously discussed in public. “I have never been ashamed of this or tried to hide it, but felt it was a personal and private matter,” he said in the statement last week.

Production of “Sesame Street” was unaffected by Mr. Clash’s leave of absence and presumably will not be affected by his resignation, either. Mr. Clash had been helping to identify other puppeteers who could play Elmo for some time, and they filled in for him while he was away from work, a Sesame Workshop executive said last week.

But the repetition of claims about underage sex in the same sentence as a beloved children’s character may impact the “Sesame Street” brand in ways that remain to be seen. The years-old allegations are bubbling up at the beginning of the holiday shopping season.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez, Selena Gomez’s roller coaster relationship with Justin Bieber might be getting her down these days.

The singer/actress was spotted going into a hospital in the Los Angeles area on Monday as the Biebs waited patiently for her in a parked black SUV near the facility, Extra is reporting.

The entertainment site says that SelGo walked into the hospital amidst paparazzi yelling at her questions about the possibility of her being pregnant.

It didn’t take long for TMZ to rule out those rumors reporting that Gomez went to get a strep throat infection checked out, while Extra says SelGo’s stepdad has bronchitis and she was making sure she had not caught the bug.

Later Monday evening, Jelena as the couple is called, went to dinner together. Gomez was not in the mood to be nagged by the paparazzi as she put her hands on her face taking cover. Bieber, according to Extra, had left the gym before joining Gomez and was surrounded by his all-male entourage.

On Sunday the Biebs and SelGo were spotted together at an after-party for the American Music Awards on Sunday, after leaving hand in hand from the Nokia Theater in L.A. Calif., where the ceremony took place.

Actress Jenny McCarthy, who gave Bieber a kiss on the neck during the broadcast, tweeted the news that the “As Long as You Love Me” singer was in fact with SelGo post AMAs.

"My cub @justinbeiber brought his acceptable and beautifully aged beauty Selena to the AMA after-party," she tweeted. "Guess I'm back on the prowl. Rww!"

Bieber and Gomez were not in such good terms earlier in the week, when TMZ reported about their catastrophic dinner date on Friday.

An insider tells the gossip site that SelGo dashed out the restaurant just 10 min after getting her food.

A photographer told TMZ that Gomez was seen driving home after leaving the

Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes, A star Brazilian footballer tortured and killed his mistress then fed her dismembered body to his pet rottweilers, a court is expected to hear today.

Goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes de Souza, 27, who was tipped to play for Brazil in the 2014 World Cup, is accused of murdering model Eliza Samudio to avoid paying child support after she gave birth to his love child.

Police believe Bruno planned her abduction and murder with eight others, including his wife Dayane, another ex-lover, a younger cousin and a former policeman turned hitman Luiz Santos.

The footballer, who played for Brazil's most popular club, Flamengo, is said to have watched as Santos tortured her before helping him chop up her body.
Parts of the woman's corpse are alleged to have been fed to Bruno's dogs, while the rest was buried in concrete.

Bruno, who before his arrest had been linked with a multi-million pound transfer to AC Milan, denies the accusations and claims Ms Samudio left the country. Her body has never been found.
A court in Belo Horizonte, southeast Brazil will hear today how married Bruno met former porn actress Ms Samudio, 25, at a 'footballers' orgy' in May 2009.

Brunette Ms Samudio, who had previously claimed to have had an affair with Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo, fell pregnant after Bruno's condom burst, it is claimed.

The goalkeeper demanded she have an abortion but she went ahead with the pregnancy, instead insisting that he assume paternity of the child.

Before her disappearance on June 4, 2010, Ms Samudio had approached police claiming she had been held captive by Bruno and his associates, who forced her to take an illegal abortion drug.

Bruno allegedly put a gun to her head and told her: 'You don't know who I am or what I'm capable of - I'm from the favela.'
The baby, Bruninho, was born in February 2010, but the player refused to acknowledge he was the father.

Prosecutors will today allege that Bruno ordered Ms Samudio's murder after she told him she would take legal action to force him to pay child support.

In a statement to police, the footballer's teenage cousin claimed he and Bruno's best friend Luiz Romao picked up Ms Samudio and her son from a Rio de Janeiro hotel after she accepted an invitation by the footballer to talk about the paternity claims.

He said they drove her 220 miles to a property in Belo Horizonte which Bruno and his wife used as a weekend retreat, where she was held captive for six days.

Ms Samudio was then handed over to former miliary policeman Santos, who committed 'barbaric tortures' on her before strangling her to death with a neck tie in front of her four-month-old son.

Santos, who was allegedly paid £8,000 to murder her, played loud music on a stereo to drown out the woman's screams, it is claimed.

Edson Moreira, a detective who investigated the case, said: 'His acts were almost impossible to describe without breaking down - images from the worst nightmare you could imagine.'
Prosecutors will claim Ms Samudio died on June 10, 2010 between 9pm and 10pm, and that her corpse was chopped up and taken back to Bruno's property in plastic bags.

There the goalkeeper allegedly fed her body parts to his pet rottweilers.
Police later found Ms Samudio's four-month-old baby in a Belo Horizonte slum, alleged to have been abandoned there by Bruno's wife Dayane. DNA tests later proved the footballer's paternity. The child is now being looked after by Ms Samudio's mother.

Another key witness in the case, another of Bruno's cousins who admitted helping take Ms Samudio to the place where she died, was shot dead in Belo Horizonte in August this year.

Defence lawyers for the footballer, however, will claim Ms Samudio wasn't murdered but instead left the country on a false passport after leaving her son with friends there.

They are expected to present a letter written by an ex-boyfriend of Bruno's mother, claiming he helped Ms Samudio obtain a false passport which she used to travel to Bolivia, then to Europe, using a different name.

In a recent interview with Brazil's Fantastico TV programme, Bruno's lawyer Rui Pimenta said he was confident his client would be found innocent of any crime and even claimed the goalkeeper believed he would be the star player in Brazil's 2014 World Cup.

He said: 'One, because there was no murder. And second, if there was, even without any proof, Bruno wasn't responsible, he never wanted it, never desired it, the thought never even passed his mind.

'He'll be in the World Cup final, in Maracana, against Argentina. It will end 0-0. Who will take the penality? The world's greatest player, Messi. And who will save it and lift the trophy for 200 million Brazilians? Bruno. This is his biggest dream.'

But Jose Arteiro Cavalcante, for the prosecution, responded: 'You can be sure Bruno won't be starring in the World Cup. Only if it's the World Cup in the year 3000.

'Bruno committed this cowardly crime, thinking that he was God. There might not be a body but there are many other indisputable proofs.'

Bruno is one of five accused in the case who go on trial this week. If found guilty he could be jailed for up to 41 years.
